There is not much to say about this, simply brilliant!
Is very straight forward to use, only one switch to chose the type of battery to charge, insert the batteries, up to 4 depending of type, plug it in and wait until its charged. It comes with a charge indicator and will stop charging when the batteries are ready; a green light will come up. It can recharge batteries type AAA, AA and GF22, respectively up to 4, 4 and 2.
I have purchased on a promotional campaign so the price is irrelevant, although you can find it at the big stores in promotion time to time.
I have purchased another 2 battery chargers, a Uniross that only charges up to 4 AA type batteries but has the problem that you can’t forget to set a timer to unplug it or will over charge the batteries and will damage them. Another that allows all the type of rechargeable batteries. But this one is used only for my radio model car. (Will submit review separately)
The advantage of this little beauty is that is small, light and has the really useful automatic stop charge. This is definitely something you want when purchasing a battery charger. Remember that if you go for the cheap ones, is very likely to be just a dumb device that doesn’t help you, only does its job and you care about everything else. For a couple of quid you get the enhanced ones that you can leave plugged all day without damaging the batteries. Also it charges 1.5v (nominal) batteries as well the normal 1.2v ones. Please remember that it is a very common mistake to use 1.2v batteries on digital cameras and then complaining that they only last a couple of shots. For cameras you need the 1.5v batteries, they are not easy to find and only some specialist stores will have them, but is worth the difference.
This device comes with 4 1700mA batteries, they are reasonably good. perfect for your remote control or some other devices that don't require to much juice.
Overall, it is a very good device and because has cost only £7.50 it was a really bargain, but as I said this price was promotional and does not reflect the reality. But definitely if you are one of those people with lots of gadgets and kids toys that use loads of batteries, this is something you want to consider.
And after all is greener!
