I first came across this brand when I needed batteries more suited to my camera than ordinary, non-rechargeable AA batteries (as mentioned in my previous review). They were recommended to me by the cashier as reliable and perfect for what I needed them for, as they're good for longevity. I thought maybe these were the most expensive and that's why they were recommended, but they were about £25 for 4, which was cheaper than some other brands of the same description on display. I have since looked online and found both the batteries and the charger I use for a cheaper price, try amazon.co.uk and dell.com.
The first time I used them, they lasted a good couple of weeks, alternating use between my camera and CD player. They proved especially useful in my old CD player, which usually stops mid-song, and I'll have to re-adjust the batteries to make it work again - these seemed to remedy this.
To re-charge the batteries, I use a Uniross Ni-Cd & Ni MH battery charger that I purchased by recommendation at the same time as the batteries. It takes about 4-5 hours for batteries to fully charge, which isn't bad considering they then last for weeks. The batteries can be charged up to 1,000 times.
After the success of the AA batteries, we now use primarily all Uniross batteries to control our battery-fuelled appliances, including Uniross AAA batteries for our television, VCR and DVD remote controls, which last about 6 months.
Uniross was established in Bristol in 1968 and has since spread to over 7 countries, including the USA, France, Germany and South Africa.
The company prides itself on their high standards at suiting the customers' individual needs. To achieve and maintain the highest quality standards, the company have their own testing laboratory with state of the art equipment to analyse their product and make accurate developments to improve their batteries' performance.
All of Uniross' products are economically friendly; containing no lead, mercury or other high toxins. The company also takes part in collecting and recycling old, thrown-out batteries.
These sound great, rechargeable batteries always save you so much money. Nice one. Matt

What more can you say about batteries! Great review. I have these, but i find that when i charge them in the Unirosss X press 150, they never finish charging. Is my charger to blame?
