These batterys are fantastic for appliances that use up battery life quickly. For me personally these batterys have even made my cd player last longer even though it recommends Alkaline Batts which last 20hrs but with these batts it has lasted for over 40hrs.
The one problem is to be truely happy with these batts you have to spend around 30 pounds on a fast charge which should take around 1hr to charge or you can stick to the standard chargers which take 16hrs to charge. At the end of the 16hr hour charge it is well worth the lond wait.
These Batterys are AA only! to find batterys with as good a performance look on the battery for the highest mAh eg 1200mAh
Last but not least i recommend to everyone not to buy AA's or AAA's under the 1200mAh range.
I have been asked to explain a few points so i shall: Rechargeables are useful yes, but it is true when you say they are not as powerful. Alkaline Batterys Have a Voltage of 1.5v Each These Rechargeables Have a voltage of 1.2v Each Depending on the appliance 0.3 of a volt could make a differance.
However Rechargeables with a high mAh level Over 1500 can hold the full 1.2 volts for longer than an alkaline battery can hold the standard 1.5volts.
Rechargeables in general will eventually fail but should last for up 1000 charges.
Any Further information you wish to know please leave me a message and i will be happy to answer.
