Are you for real? this is an Unreal Tournament
Advantages Fast engine, smooth gameplay
Disadvantages sound effects
Unreal Tournament published by Infogrames was released in 1999.
Unreal Tournament is a shoot 'em up game featuring multiple game modes such as capture the flag assault and deathmatch.Game modes:
Capture the flag - both teams start with a flag at their base. The object is to take the enemy flag to your base while protecting your own flag.
Deathmatch - this is a free for all mode in which the first player to score a certain amount of frags wins.
Team Deathmatch - the same as deathmatch only all frags add to your team score apposed to an individual score.Domination - this game mode is original to Unreal Tournament. Domination mode features capture points on a map, the more capture points you have under your control the faster your team score increases and the first team to reach a set limit wins.
The single player mode features: multiple levels for each of the game types. As well as the single player campaign there is a practice mode where you can play against bots (computer controlled opponents), multiplayer across a local area network or internet.Unreal Tournament features futuristic weapons such as the Enforcer, Shock Rifle, Pulse Rifle and a Goo rifle. All of the weapons have both a primary and a secondary fire mode.
The most original ideas in unreal tournament are the Translocator which is a portable teleportation device and the redeemer which is a rocket launcher with a twist. The Redeemer's primary fire mode fires a large rocket with a blast radius of about 20 metres, the secondary fire mode allows you to control the flight path of the rocket using the mouse.The Unreal engine delivers fast, smooth gameplay and can deliver up to 75 frames per second. The specification on the box is as follows;
Operating System: Windows 95/98/ME/2000/NT 4 (XP)I think the game would run with the above specification but I find the game runs poorly at hi resolution on a Duron 1400 with 256 Mb of ram and a 64 Mb Nvidia GeForce 2 grahpics card. I would therefore recommend the following; processor: Athlon of at least 1800, Memory 128 Mb (256 Mb if running windows 2000 or XP), and a 64 Mb graphics card.
I recommend this game to any fan of shooting games as it has a gameplay experience both offline and online that no other game can beat. The game is also available at budget price which makes the game available for people with a limited amount of cash.
