For those thinking buying Usborne Books or stating their own business with Usborne Books at home :

Having 5 children of my own I had already heard of Usborne books, I was already reading the brightly coloured first board books to my youngest, using the English guides for my 7 year old, and had a collection of reference books on the bookshelf for my older children.

So when the opportunity came up for me to join Usborne books I jumped at the chance.
It cost me £38 pound for a starter kit which included the Organiser's Starter Kit contains at least £80 worth of sample books, plus catalogues, leaflets a welcome pack, a comprehensive Organiser's Handbook and other business stationery worth over £20. That's in Total over £100 to get you started. In my own opinion a worth while "risk" which I would now refer to as an investment.
As well as the starter kit, you also receive a password giving you access to the dedicated Organisers' area of the Usborne Books at Home website where there is lots of further tools and training materials, to help in all aspects of being an Usborne Organiser, and getting your business of the ground.

I discovered there are many opportunities to achieve further goals and obtain extra incentives called Flying starts, and you can even launch your own business online which is the avenue I have taken and specialised in . There are many examples online just search in Google for "Usborne books at home" but please feel free to browse my own website which was launched last year and now has a dedicated Usborne section. www.tail-swishing.co.uk/usborne.php This will hopefully give you a good idea of what's possible. I can even recommend a web designer should you decide that you want to promote your business online.
Its great as you really can do as little or as much as you want, selling Usborne books to friends and families or holding an Usborne party, event or school fair.
I have done a couple of events which were a huge success as kids love the books, and the books sell themselves with their illustrated, fun and modern covers, stories, designs and text. Events are both fun and rewarding.
At present I'm in the process of making contacts with local playgroups, nurseries, schools and libraries, and so far I've always had a positive and encouraging response.

Usborne books at home really is a great opportunity to work from home and is ideal for mums, dads and grandparents to be involved in. You receive at least 24% commission on everything you sell. The more you sell the more your commission can increase up to 39% plus cash bonuses and incentives.
Whether you join Usborne as an Organiser to sell books and make money, or just a parent looking for good books for your children, family and friends - You can benefit from free books from Usborne as often as you choose. The more books sold - The more free books you can choose.
The great thing is that your business is totally flexible and really can be as big as want it to be…

I'm very fortunate as my mum is very involved and helps me out at events as well as packaging and posting for online sales, and my older children will often write a great book review on the books. At the moment the fabulous fiction range is growing rapidly and inspiring my kids to get reading.
