Usher's Concert in the UK - The Truth Tour > Reviews (1)

I know after reading my previous review about his album and now his concert at Wembly Arena, I know you wouldn't believe me if I said that Im not really a big fan of Usher- until now! I went to Wembly Arena (london) last night and i have since changed my mind.

!!!!!WOW!!!!!TICKETS!!!!!!

But I will start from the very beginning. I visited www.aloud.com inorder to order my tickets- well to view what and who was on and knowing that my older sister likes Usher I thought I'd run the idea by her first before I bought the tickets. There were still some available. So approximately 3 weeks later in the middle of the night I called a friend and he ws on the internet and I gave him my card details and he booked 6 tickets onine. I must say though that at this point it was quite difficult to get the tickets. When we finally got the tickets at a base cost of £27.50 each plus £2.50 p&p, they said that the tickets would arrive 10 days before the concert- which they did on June 28th. The tickets looked amazing. Usher on the foreground surrounded by flames. On the top right the word USHER in bold yellow.

How to get there....its off of the North Circular.
Taxi from where ever you are...alternatively you can drive but again that varies from where you start your jouney from or you could take the underground to Wembly Park (Metropolitan Line), turn left out of the station cross over main road and keep walking straight down (past a huge McDonalds) then on your left after about 10 minutes- you will see the stadium- in my case I could see the huge bill board with Usher on it in his usual Micheal Jackson pose (one hand in the air- him also wearing sun glasses).

There are two sides to the stadium- a red side and a blue side- whih side your are on is stipulated on the front of your ticket. The Red side is on the left and the Blue is on the right. The queue semed huge but went down amazingly fast. The stewards check your tickets, bags if you have them and if the artist doesn't want you to tak photos then you will be asked to hand them in, which you can collect in return for a ticket ( raffle). Binoculars can be obtained by handing in a credit card for a deposit so that if you are at the back of the stadium (as I was) then you can obviously see the stage in much better detail.

It was £2 for chips and £4 for Smirnoff Ice. So whatever the normal price is it was double the rrp. You are not allowed to take in any prepaid goods such as bottles of drink.

Once into the stadium, there are rows of seats in a U shape and where there are no seats is the stage. In the middle of the U is the standing area. On the righthand side of the stage there was a plasma screen facing the right hand side of the audience which had a very clear picture which I could also watch inorder to see the stage in more detail.

Initially there was a black curtain which was draped across the stage so you couldn't see how Usher's set up was going to look. The supporting artist was two male rnb singers who were called smujji?

If you're a regular clubber in the rnb scene you will know who I mean! But dont ask because I have already tried today to remember their song and can't!

!!!!USHER!!!!

When the supporting acts had finished we had to wait perhaps a further 15 minutes ( the concert was scheduled to start at 7.30 but started at 8.30) and Usher came on at 9.44. It was great!!! The curtain rose and the main white beam lights glared as he rose from below onto the stage wearing a white suit. His back faced away from the crowd. The crowd went absolutely mad and had a great atmosphere through out the concert. Usher opened th concert singing from his first albulm, gradually losing clothes with more songs, and then he merged his second albulm 870. My Way, Bad girl, Uturn, Confessions, Nice and SLow- everything he could have possibly sung- he did. The auditorium went absolutely barmy when he sang BURN and YEAH. It was great. I cant emphasise the marvellousness of it all! Plus he also got his dancers to get a girl from the audience to lie down on a chaiselonge, where he serenaded her with No 1. He kissed her and he gave her a bunch of big white roses PLUS he took her backstage!! That is one lucky girl and if you read this-I hope you enjoyed him kissing you!!! At the end of the concert after singing for nearly two hours he came back out to sing a further 2 more songs!!! The concert was finished by 11 unfortunately and I hardly sat down for the whole of it- paying for it now though!

Usher not only did he sing and dance ALL the way through. He stripped his clothes. Put his hand down his body and didn't stop and let his hand glide down to you know where!!!!!

All I can say is- Usher when are you coming back???????? Im hoping I can see you again!!!
