...experience, so opted for the VAX 6151. WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE BOX? ************************************** The 6151 model is a 6 in 1 machine, which has a vast array of tools (oo er missus!). As i unpacked the cleaner i thought id have to send it back as i couldnt find half the tools! But alas, they were there inside the cylinder unit! The cylinder itself is black and attached to that is an extensisible tubes , so you dont have to be crouch over ...
...The attachable vacum head has a slide setting on the unit, depending on whether you are vacuming a deep pile or flat carpet, An extra long hose is attached for those days you want to clean the stairs!! Thank god someone has thought about that, i have spent many a year dragging the whole unit up the stairs with me! ...The Purchase -------------------- The VAX 6151SX sounds a bit like a car, and has almost as man features. The 6 in 1 is trumpetted by VAX but to be honest I really only use 2 or 3. The key buying criteria were: (i) power - needed to be able to suck up Australia from the UK (ii) hepa filters - allergies need dust supression (iii) cleaning as well as vacuuming - puppies poop and pee and not always where you would like (iv) price - I picked up ...
...to buy third party or VAX standard (internet best place to buy). Filters - 3 are needed and tend to get dirty with repeated carpet cleaning (one is dry use only). There are no spares supplied but are cheap to buy from VAX by mail order. Carpet cleaning fluid - there are lots of dedicated varieties from VAX including allergy relief, pet care, etc. Most seem to do the same job. ...bought this lovely Black Vax 6151 SX back in June this year,one of the first things that impressed us was the vast array of tools that came in the box with it. So I shall now re-write what the instruction booklet tells me should be in there Cone filter unit. Clean water bucket. Dirty water bucket. Carpet cleaner. Dust bag. Stair hose. Hose and hand grip. Dusting brush. Crevice tool. Upholstery / stair vacuuming grooming tool. Carpet washer. ...
...Plus of course The Vax Motor Unit itself. All items were present and correct and ready to be used. Simple enough to put the machine together for normal vacuuming purposes,but putting together the wash set up is a little more tricky in as much that it takes a bit of practice,but once mastered is easy enough. The motor after 10 minutes of work has broken. Bought on EBAY 99 GBP + 90 shipping to Russia. No warranty. Very bad.
