As this was the first time I have owned an upright vacuum cleaner, rather than a cylinder, I was a little apprehensive about the assembly. However, the clear, easy to follow instructions enabled me to assemble the hoover within 5 minutes, with no problems whatsoever.
I was then delighted and impressed by just how powerful the suction on this Vax really was. Leaving the carpets looking visibly cleaner and new looking. I vacuum daily, so was truly surprised to see such results and how much dust was being collected. The ability to adjust the hoover dependant on the thickness of the carpet pile, meant that even in deep pile, this Vax gave a fantastic deep down clean.
Another great feature was the long 4.2m stretch hose. This enabled me to clean the stairs from top to bottom, whilst leaving the hoover at the bottom. This meant there was no need to carry the Vax or to have to perch it on the stairs themselves. Therefore cleaning the stairs was safer and effortless.
This Vax has a long 10 m cord, this meant there was less need to change plug sockets for reach. The hoover was easy to empty and clean.
