Advantages: It cleans well, good suction Disadvantages: doesn't sit on the stairs! It has bags
as well which I had to buy as an emergency when my Dyson monumentally broke down! I tell you, my cupboard is hoover heaven! What to use today?..
Last year, having been Vax-less for four years I noticed that my carpets were looking rather unsavoury. My youngest has a penchant for knocking glasses of coke over etc. I attempted to clean the carpets with an assortment of shampoos and a scrubbing brush. This was useless. It made the carpet patchy and bobbled the surface. There was nothing to do but go and buy an electrical shampooer. This was prior to my being a member here, so I took recourse to questioning the shops. Of the three retailers I visited they all said go for Vax again.
So, my purse being lighter to the sum of £139.99 I trudged home with my box containing a nice new Vax 6130 cylinder cleaner to tackle my shameful carpets. I ...

Advantages: Simple to use, inexpensive, great results Disadvantages: Bulky, heavy machine, difficult to store neatly
I bought my Vax 6131 back in October 2007 after my old upright vacuum cleaner finally gave up the ghost. It is powered by a 1300w motor which ...

hello there i brought my vax 6131 last year, i just use it to clean my carpets, i will use it as my hover when the other one breaks down. It cost me £149.99.
The vax cleans spills, sucks up water etc, washes carpaets, and hovers, so all in all a good all rounder.
I find the machine very noisey when cleaning and sucking up spills, although overall it performs quite well, and has very got suction
The only problem i have is it won't remove the tea stain i have on my lounge carpet, which is a bit of a bum, apart from that it cleans pretty well.
It comes with removable cleanable filters, separate removable inner piece for hovering and one for washing. Also two diffrent hose/ nozzle attachments, one for wet, one for dry hovering and all the other extra nozzles you get with a normal hover ( dust bags must be fitted when hovering ).
Also i ...
