Advantages: Brilliant suction, excellent if you have pets Disadvantages: The weight - really heavy
I bought this hoover nearly two months ago and I think it's fab! The suction on it is amazing and the different levels on the brush bar for different piles of carpet is fab, don't think I've ever seen my rugs looking so clean since they were new. The attachements are pretty much what you'd expect to get with a new hoover and the longer hose definitely makes life easier, especialy when cleaning the stairs, I no longer have to lug the hoover up the ... ...now stays at the bottom while I work away vacuuming each step. If you have pets I would say that this hoover is what you've been looking for, so long as you can move it. The weight of the hoover is the only major disadvantage I've found so far, I'm no weakling but it is heavy, not so bad once you get going with the hoovering but there is no way I can carry it up the stairs!! I have to get my husband to do this, but on the bright side, it does mean ...

Advantages: Excellent suction, picks up all dirt, great accessories, hose good for corners Disadvantages: Very very heavy & difficult to manouvre. So heavy I can't use it!
I bought the new Vax Mach 7 over the weekend and unfortunately it is going back to the shop shortly.
In terms of suction and accessories, it is brilliant - picks up all the dirt and dust and the hose suction is fantastic for corners, skirting boards etc.
HOWEVER, it is so heavy and difficult to manoevre that I simply cannot use it. It weighs over 10kg and I am no weakling but I cannot carry that up and down the stairs. It is really hard to push ... ...me. I phoned the Vax helpline and the lady told me it was an extremely heavy machine and as it's hurt my back I can take it back as it's not fit for the purpose for which I bought it. I honestly think it would be easier to move a cement mixer around the house! Let's hope Curry's see it the same way! ...
