It was meant to work deep down into the carpet but it only seemed to skim the top.
My carpets looked the same as before I had started. Even after doing them a couple of times the work wasn't worth it, they still looked dirty.

I found that it didn't do the job that was expected of it. It was meant to work deep down into the carpet but it only seemed to skim the top. My carpets looked the same as before I had started. Even after doing them a couple of times the work wasn't worth it, they still looked dirty.
I ended up hiring a professional to come in and do them.
Getting down on your hands and knees would work better.
Advantages: Was a good price! Disadvantages: Takes a long time!
Being in a rented property with cream carpets and a one year old, we thought it best to get a carpet cleaner and fast!
With a tight budget, we opted for the V-024A VaxRapideClassic carpet washer. We bought it from argos and it cost £99.99 (this included one bottle of Vax AAA cleaning solution)
The solution is sold in argos too - £13.99 for a pack of three!
Once set up (which was a little complcated if you didn't read the instructions) we were ready to go!
There are two tanks on this washer -
* The Clean Solution Tank - 3.5 litre capacity
* The Dirty Water Tank - 2 litre capacity
All you have to do, is add one capful of solution to the clean solution tank and fill to the max. line with tap water. Ensuring both tanks are positioned correctly, plug in to the mains and away you go.
