I had wanted to buy a carpet washer for quite some time, but was put off by a friend who had bought one and said it was rubbish and not to waste my money. I was curious though, as to why the prices of these things varied quite a lot. My friend had bought one of the cheaper carpet washers, but I noticed it was possible to pay three times as much as this. I have never had much luck with carpet cleaners and usually end up with a wet but still dirty carpet. I have a thick wool beige carpet in my hallway, which is not the smartest decision I have ever made! As people enter the front door and begin to take their shoes off, this poor piece of carpet really take the brunt of it. When I lifted up the door mat, I was shocked to see a pale, near perfect strip of carpet which made the rest of the carpet look dark and stained.
