VFR stands for "Visual Flight Rules" - this is the way that pilots navigate when they aren't using complex instruments - they look at a map and then pinpoint landmarks on the ground to work out their position. To do this in a flight simulator requires scenery that's exactly the same as the real landscape. VFR Real Scenery is an amazing piece of software that provides just that - fly over England and Wales in Flight Simulator X and sample the view you'd get from a real aircraft. You can see the real countryside from ...
Advantages: Amazingly realistic, packed with features Disadvantages: Slow loading, can be jittery during gameplay
I don't like calling Flight Simulator a game, because I don't class it as one. Flight Simulator is used by professional pilots as a means of training, practise, and fun. They say, if you can fly a plane on FlightSim, you can fly a plane in real life. The planes act exactly the same as in real life, the controls on the dashboards are laid out in exactly the same way, and the game is EXTREMELY realistic.

The loading time is very slow, and you tend to get rather impatient after a while, especially when the flight takes 3 minutes to load, and you realise you've sat yourself in the wrong plane and have to start all over again. Advantages: A virtual life if you don't have one of your own ;o) Disadvantages: Can spend hours on this game wasting my real life

The house building tools etc are very good. You can build pretty much anything you like. And you can get loads of fiurniture etc to fill the house with. You can even swap/purchase designs online with other players.
Overall I enjoy this game. It can get quite addictive and can easilly swallow up a few hours. I've not had the previous versions to ...
