*** The Laptop***
The laptop is made out of very strong plastic which is a good thing the amount of times it lands up on the floor! It is purple and yellow in colour and the keys are orange and green and there is an On and Off switch
To open the lid of the laptop you will see an orange button on each side of the laptop you have to press these together for the lid to open.
Inside of the lid is a small lcd screen and in the middle of the laptop you will find an interactive dora who dances when you switch it on. You will also find a picture of Dora and Boots and there are 2 orange buttons one is to change the brightness , the other is for the volume.
There is also a mouse which has 4 directional cursor keys and an enter button.
***Modes Of Play ***
~ Letter Forest ~
So you basically press a letter key so A for example and Dora will say A is for apple and a picture of an apple will come up. She will then say press a letter and so you continue until you want to move on to another game.
~ Collect the Spelling Books ~
In this game you have to help Dora find the beginning letter of a word so for example a picture will come up of a house and underneath the word -ouse and the child will look for the correct letter. If they get it right a little picture of Dora will appear in the top left corner of the screen , if they get it wrong a little x will appear and they will be asked to try again.
~ Count the Library Books ~
On the screen you will see some books and you have to count them and then press the right number , if you are correct Dora will say well done , if you are wrong it will make a noise and a little x will appear in the top left corner of the screen you will be asked to try again.
~ Number Mountain ~
Number mountain is and add and subtraction game , when you get 3 in a row right a picture appears on the screen with some music
~ Shape Valley ~
In shape valley you have to find the correct shape so there will be picture of a shape on one side of the screen and then different shapes appear on the other side of the screen when you find the correct shape you have to press the enter button.
There is also a collect the spelling books ,wrong move game , hide and seek and music.
*** What do I think? ***
This is a very good laptop to help children with numbers and their alphabet and it also helps them to get used to using a mouse.
The one thing I like about this laptop is if my son leaves it on and goes off to do something else it will switch itself off.
My son and nieces have loads of fun with this toy and the good thing is as well as playing with the laptop they are learning at the same time! We paid £24.99 for this toy and it is well worth it , it will need 3 x AA batteries which last a while.

...It is made by Vtech and is very good quality. It looks like a proper laptop with keyboard and mouse. The keyboard is in alphabetical order so it is easier for the children to find the correct letter by running through the alphabet. It is set as a carnival and you have to help Dora and Boots collect the tickets as you play the games. There are great games to play involving matching shapes, finding letters and numbers and basic logically thinking like ... ...My children all really like when the like Dora character in the dome in the middle dances and the music plays. The colours of the laptop are bright and inviting for children and voice is very clear and tells you what you have to do. The voice is clearly recognisable as Doras which is great. We have had this for over a year now and it has been played with loads as we take it in the car with us and the batteries have never needed changed. The only ...

Advantages: Great for child development, 10 different activities, even teaches basic spanish!! Disadvantages: The repetetive music can be a bit annoying!
My mum bought this for my little girl for Christmas, and she absolutely loves it. She is a massive fan of anything to do with Dora the Explorer and this is by far her favorite toy! It's a very sturdy, tough toy. Ours has accidently fallen off the table so many times and is still in prestigne condition. The only real downside to me is the repetetive background music - but compared to the positives of this toy, I think that's nothing really.
The main ... ...computer she can be like mummy and plays on hers at the same time! She thinks it's a real laptop like mine cause it even has a mouse!!! The main reason I like it is not only does it keep her quiet for hours on end, but it's very educational also! It boasts ten interactive games to keep your child amused . These teach your children - Letter names

Basic Spanish
Simple sums

This is a brilliant product. My children love theirs and no matter what they do it it, it lives on! Dora is a firm favourite in our house so you can imagine the amount of use this computer gets with 3 kids around.
The computer is very educational as well as being a great source of entertainment for the kids. It has helped my kids with their numbers and their letters and keeps interest in learning very high. As well as learning, there are great educational ...
