We initially gave him the steering wheel section as this can be placed on the floor and he loved the noises and singing it makes. We purchased this toy as a Christmas present for our son. He was 8 months old at the time and crawling. We initially gave him the steering wheel section as this can be placed on the floor and he loved the noises and singing it makes. Unusually the voice is an English male unlike most toys which tend to have American women singing and talking. The downside is he is very loud and there are no volume controls so it can drive you mad after a while. We let him have a little go on it as a rocker too at that age with some help from us for support and the rock motion and he loved it. Unfortunately we did not get a lot of use out of it as a rocker and his older cousin and some of the other children who would visit would assume it was a normal ride on and would try to drag it along on the rockers so we had to quickly convert it to a bike to stop it bacoming damaged. Converting it is easy as you simply unscrew the green plastic screws on the side, turn the wheeled rockers around and replace the screws. Very simple and takes only a couple of minutes. No need to detach the wheels or use any tools. When using it as a rocker it has handlebars and although you can have the steering wheel unit attached the weight makes it too hard for little ones to rock. Best to leave it as a floor toy and separate rocker until you turn it into the bike. The ride on bike can also be used with or without the steering wheel section attached as you only clip this onto the handlebars. This gives you a lot of ways to have the toy set up. ours at the moment (son now 15 months) tends to be a bike with steering wheel as he prefers to sit (or stand/climb) on it and play with the wheel, gear stick and phone section rather than ride it around the room. As he gets older I expect he will use it more as a ride on than a stationary toy. With 3 different settings and accompanying noises and songs, bright colours and a multitude of ways to be set up I would recommend this toy to anyone as it will be a long time before your child gets bored with it.
