    Advantages Advantages Looks nice

Disadvantages Disadvantages Kids don't play with it

Magic Bags This was bought as a new toy to pull out of my 'magic bag' whilst on a long journey a couple of years ago. I'd bought a couple of new things so that when the kids got fed up on the journey, a new toy would magically appear to keep them happy. It was meant to be for the baby (10 months at the time) but when I pulled it out of the bag, there was an initial squabble between her and her older sister (2 ¾ years) but the baby won in the end, as a new book magically appeared for the toddler. So after the initial excitement, the novelty soon wore off and it was slung around the car a few ... more

Advantages Advantages Lots of different sounds and melodies

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not really a soft phone as the name suggests

Recently my little girl (7 months) is into absolutely everything, she seems to have a real thing for our sky remote and our mobile phones so I decided to find her a toy that was a similar size to the TV buttons so she could play with that instead of constantly turning the TV over and pressing the mute button etc. After having a look around the new Toys R Us store in my area I came across the Vtech Soft Singing Phone, as soon as I saw it I thought it would be perfect because it's a phone & a similar size to the TV buttons. What's in the box? All you get in the box is the toy itself & a set of ... more

Advantages Advantages Has kept daughters attention! Not too pricey

Disadvantages Disadvantages Quiet (not a disadvantage for parents!!)

My daughter was almost 2 months old for her first Christmas, this didn't stop her receiving a huge amount of toys even though she couldn't play with them all. Many of these presents are still played with today, and no matter how much I try and get rid of them she always wants to play with them more and more. One of these toys is the VTech soft singing phone. The phone The phone is around 15cm high and 5cm wide. It is made from a chunky type plastic and is quite heavy for a baby. The phone has a stretch of material going around the outside, this is what I gather as the soft part from the name ... more

Advantages Advantages Introduces numbers, animals, plays well known songs, looks cute, Emily loves it

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

For some reason both my daughters have always had obsessions with phones, my youngest is nearly two and she will put just about anything to her ear and say hello before pretending to press buttons which I find really cute. My Mam bought this phone for my youngest daughter for her first Christmas although we had had the same idea and bought her another one and then she had two of her sisters old ones too so she ended up with plenty of toy phones! The phone is made by Vtech which is a great brand in my opinion and both my kids generally love their toys, the phone is meant for a girl I would ... more

Advantages Advantages Lots of different aspects to the buttons

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not a real phone

My little girl is absolutely obsessed with my mobile phone and has been ever since I can remember. I don't know what it is about phones but just about every kid I know loves them. There are lots of mobile phone toys that you can buy on the market today and at £9.99 I thought this was an ok price for one and it did not have too many annoying buttons on it like other phones have. This phone is called a soft phone as it has a soft material on the back of the phone and then just plastic on the front of the phone. The soft backing is purple and has musical notes as the pattern on it and then there ... more
