Hi!
Last week I saw this bus in my charity shop and I bought it for my daughter who is only ten months old. I just remember that my son who is six now had a similar one to that one. took it home and first to try was my son he was exited and just said that he had a bus likes that. Than was my daughter turn and she love it. She started to copy the sounds what bus was making --broom broom.
This bus is in red colour (just like a London buses). On the top you will find big yellow button (GO) and three shape buttons( green square, blue star and red triangle). On the side of the bus you will find four character buttons, yellow letter buttons, blue numbers buttons, yellow on/off button and the mode selector button. On the front of the bus you will find picture of people on the bus and rotating destination screen.
This buss needs two "AA" batteries. To preserve battery life, the Vetch Playtime Bus will automatically power-down after about 30 seconds without input. The bus can be turned on again by pressing any button.
There are four modes of play: Phonics, Letters, Quiz and Music. Slide the MODE SELECTOR SWITCH to select the mode that you would like to play. You will hear a fun phrase related to the mode and a short tune.
ACTIVITIES
1. In Phonics, Letters and Quiz modes press the NUMBER BUTTONS to hear numbers one to ten identified followed by a fun sound effect. In Music mode, press the NUMBER BUTTONS to hear music notes.
2. In Phonics mode press the LETTER BUTTONS to hear letter names and sounds. In Letters mode hear the letter and related object. In Those modes hear letter names, sounds and related objects and in Music mode you will hear melodies.
3. In Phonics and Music modes press the SHAPE BUTTONS on the top of the bus to hear fun sound effects. In Letters mode hear the colour and shape identified. In Those modes hear fun sound effects or the colour and shape identified.
4. In Phonics and Letters mode, press a CHARACTER BUTTON to hear fun phrases. In Music mode you will hear a short phrase and tune. In Quiz mode, press a CHARACTER BUTTON to play a finding game, where you will be asked to find a letter, shape or number.
5. Press the 'GO' BUTTON to change the destination displayed at the front of the bus. You will hear fun sound effects, cheerful phrases and sung songs in all four modes.
6. Push the bus to hear fun sound effects and a random sung song.
HERE SOME OF THE LYRICS:
Let's go to the school Learn some letters and numbers too Let's go to the school right now!
Let's go to the zoo Hear the monkeys go ooh, ooh, ooh Let's go the zoo right now!
Let's go to the station Board the train, go choo choo choo Let's go to the station now.
This bus is a great adventure for the little ones, they can learn phonics, letter names and numbers through play. This bus has been my daughters favourite toy ever since. Probably she doesn't understand the game but she loves the sinning and walking along the bus.
The price of the bus is around £15 but I've got it for 50p.
