Last Christmas our daughter was only 3 months old and so we struggled finding toys that were actually suitable for her age and then we came across this one which is aimed at children from 3 months to 2 years. The toy is available in two different colour options, pink and primary colours and costs around £10 from many places such as Argos or Tesco.

The toy as you would expect is made to look like a radio with a carry handle, the surround of the toy are covered in soft material with A B C and different shapes printed upon it, there is also a pretend aerial made of soft fabric and stuffed with some sort of foam. The on and off swtch is on the top of the radio underneath the handle which we found our daughter struggles to turn on even though she can easily turn on other toys and we believe this is due to the location of the button, the button also allows two different volume settings.

On the front of the radio you have a sticker at the toy where there is a picture of a bird, a cat and a dog surrounded by musical notes, there are two circles made of bright plastic one either side on the front. The first circle has little plastic letters inside in pastel colours, the letters are A B and C. The second circle has the numbers 1, 2 and 3 on it and then pictures of 1 bird, 2 cats and 3 dogs, in the centre of the circle there is an arrow and the toy will tell you which area the arrow is pointing to and make the animal noise to correspond with the pictures.

The radio has a flashing green star on it for added attraction and then a musical note button which when pressed plays about 8 different tunes some of which we know and some we don't. The toy has a number of different sayings to try and grab your little ones attention when they have stopped playing such as "let's dance and thanks for tuning in." The toy has an automatic shut off when your child stops playing with it to save the batteries and this toy has been going for nearly a year now without having to have the batteries changed.

I like the toy as in introduces quite a few different things such as letters, numbers and animlas, the flashing lights and easy use buttons make it easy for your child to play with. My youngest daughter enjoys this toy and carrys it around with her then she will stop and play with it for a bit before carrying it some more. When she was only 3 months she couldn't play with it herself but she seemed to pay attention when we played with it for her so she seemed to like it from the start. My four year old even enjoys playing with this and will set the tumes off and then dance around the room to it until her sister pinches it needless to say this toy seems to cause arguments between the two of them. This is one toy that won't be getting put away this Christmas so is certainly recommended by my family.
