VTech V-Smile Game - Dora the Explorer

My son has been watching Dora the Explore on TV for sometime now and he start to learn Spanish- just from watching TV. So my husband and I decide to buy him Dora fix-it adventure game for his v smile.
On the beginning it was quiet hard for him to learn how to control the game but after while he got use to it. He really enjoys play this game and most often he try's to copy the words from the game in Spanish.

*** THE GAME***

Dora's Fix-it Adventure:
This game is base on Tico's air-car-boat-mobile!
Tico invites Dora and boots for a ride on his new machine but before they can do that, they have to rebuild air-car-boat-machine. You have to help Dora to find the missing parts before Swiper the fox can swipe them.
Before you going to put your game in the console turn the power of, put your game in the slot and turn power on.
On the screen you will find welcome from Dora and main menu:

***Learning Adventure- after choice this mode you will be ask to choice easy or difficult mode and one or two players. Here you have to help Dora and boots to use the map to choice the way they will go to find Tico machine parts.

- Colour Forest - here you have to help Dora and boots to find the steering wheel of Tico's air-car-boat-mobile which one land in the Colour Forest. You have to find them before Swiper can swipe it.
Here you will find as well 6 mini games called :
Broken Bridge where you have to help Dora and Boots to choose the colour piece that will fix the bridge.
Bridge Path where you have to help them to choose the correct colour of the bridge.
Missing Logs here you have to help them to fix the log bridge by counting the correct number of logs.
Locked Gate here you have to help them to open the gate by choosing the correct key in the bushes.
Crocodile lake here you have to follow the friendly frog over the stones on the lake.
Logs and Turtles here you have to help them to get across the water by stepping on the logs and turtles. And Tico's steering wheel is on the other side!
In this section children can practice colours, colours patterns, counting from 1 to 10 and Spanish
- Number River - here you have to help Dora and boots to find four tires who have sunk into the number river. You will find here 3 mini games:
Fixing the boat and here you have to help Dora to fix a boat by finding the correct pieces to match the shape of the holes.
Number river here you have to help them to follow the numbers in the river path.
Fishing for tires here you have to help them to fish 4 tires from the bottom of the river.
In this section children will practice numbers, number sequences, shapes and Spanish
- Friendly Farm - here you have to help Dora and boots to find four propellers, which ones flew off in different directions on the friendly farm. And here you have to listen for animal sounds, footprints, animal objects and road signs. Here children will learn animal sounds, directions and Spanish.
- Ancient Pyramid - here you have to help Dora and boots to find Tico's engine which landed on top of a mysterious pyramid. And you will find here 3 mini games:
Shape bridge where you have to cross a shape bridge and to do that you have to find matching puzzle.
Ball drop here you have to help Dora and boots to make the ball drop in to the basket at the bottom of the puzzle.
Balance it here you have to balance the scale.
Here children will learn some logic skills.

***Learning Zone - here you will find four different learning games
- animal pond - here you have to help the mammy animals keep track of their babies by putting them in order..
- letter lock - here you have to help Dora and boots make their way through the ancient pyramid..
- Animal babies - here you have to match a baby with their mommy.
- sing along - here you can sing with Dora.

***options - you can choice if you want or don't want music.

There is voice control that tells the child what to do on each section. If you miss the instructions or the question it has asked you just press the I button and it will repeat it.
This game is a great activity for the children. It helps them learn numbers, colour, match the patterns and it a great fun as well. Give them good start.

The price at toys r us is £16.97 bit dear by its worth it. it bring great adventure for the kids.
