I have 7 little not so little children, geting them and their various freinds and equipment (guitars, sports gear, artwork) in to my battered old Landrover was getting harder. I deciced that I needed to find something with a little more comfort/leg room and space. Looking around however, I find that people carriers stop at 8 people, so I either had to lose a child or divorce my husband! I am offered vans to convert.. but they look like vans converted. I dont want another Landie, great they are but we out grew ours.
I searced various internet sites for information and hit upon VW's own site. Although it lacks something in the excitment department it showed their fairly extensive range. One being the VW Caravelle LWB. I duly sent off for a brochure which show a 10 seat variation. brilliant, just what I needed. I rang the local dealer who said that there was no such animal. He informs me that they no longer do that particular range. I ring head office and they helpfully inform me that although THEY dont actually do that model they know a company that converts the LWB to a 10 seater.I was fortunate enough to find a new Caravelle LWB pre-registered in teh colour I wanted at a dealer locally. I purchase the people carrier - its not a van. And take it to Co-trim in Andover. 3 days later I take delivery of my beautiful car. Result... the kids have loads of space, we are all safely strapped in. I can carry a couple of freinds.. their overnight bags..go to the tip... get the weeks shopping in... you name it.
In short I love my new people carrier. Thanks VW
