The car being reviewed here is the 2010 Volkswagen Gti. I have had a blast driving the 2010 Volkswagen Golf Gti. Now I think instead of overhauling the GTI formula, the Volkswagen techie's have refined it, and in my opinion it was a good move on their part ! ...Although this GTI overall shape is pretty familiar...in the 2010 Golf Gti it has a more pronounced accent line, that runs the length of the car above the wheel wells, which gives it a broader stance, especially with the optional 18 inch alloy wheels. The brake calipers are painted with bright red heat resistant paint, which I think look really cool especially against the metallic paint on the car.
As for the rear styling the taillights are more streamlined. It has an accent spoiler, as well as dual exhaust tips. The other kool, snazy feature on the 2010 GTI is the lack of visible trunk latch. It is actually integrated into the VW logo. Like its predecessor it has a ton of cargo room up to 46 feet when you lower the back seats. It also has a convenient little pass through, which can hold a couple of surfboards. Another cool feature is the optional Xenon headlights, that has an inset directional feature, which allows them to swivel up to 13 degrees into a turn in sync with steering inputs. There's no upgraded engine output, but it doesn't really need it.Its got a 2 litre 4 cylinder turbocharged engine with direct injection. It get's 200 hp, and 207 lb-ft of torque. Its really fast of the line, has a ton of alot of get up and go, very nimble, very grim provoking even on the boring daily commute, and its fantasically complemented with very good brakes..that say "don't worry I got you !" I'm a huge fan of the manual transmission system and especially in this car, the clutch is so sweet and easy, and the gearstick gives you just the right amount of resistance, because some gearsticks require so much force, that they appear antaganistic...everything in this car is smooth and simple, that it makes you feel easy to please....I like that.
As for fuel efficiency you get 21mpg in the city, and 31 mpg on the motorway. On further inspection I could see no significant suspension changes were made...but it does have a large rear anti-rollbar, which improves its cornering balance. Wind and road noise are incredibly quiet..so quiet in fact if I was to buy this car I would have to invest in a radar detector, sometimes you don't realise how fast you are going...As for the interior the seats have the traditional plait cloth, and the bucket seats are really comfortable. One small complaint is the height adjustment lever raises the seat in a diagonal arc..instead of giving you separate adjustments for height and angle. Now if you get the optional navigation system, it will store maps on your hard drive, and you will stay have 20 gigs of space left for your music. Unlike other cars it will let you rip CDs...the GTI system lets you copy files from other sources like mp3's from CDs or SD cards..even if you don't get the nav system..you still get a nice LCD touch screen which is great for the consumer...and smart on VW's part, because it allows you to add the optional nav package very easily. Now, if your still looking for more features you can get the autobahn package, which adds leather sport seats, and a powered sunroof..all the controls have a soft touch matt surface...with aluminium accents including aluminium face pedals. The only other ergonomic criticism I have is the placement of the cruise control buttons, which are ridiculously located on the indicator turn signal lever. I had been driving this car for ahwile...and I still cannot get used to it. This car is really affordable the base price of £ 12,000...I had so much fun driving this car its a speedy upmarket hatchback which is competitively priced how can you go wrong with that ?...

If you can do that, this review would've been exceptional.
