Does everything well and has provied a good buy. Reliable and requires minimum maintenance. A CD player from standard would have been a good improvement. Can handles well and the 1.6 engine offers enough. Haven't managed a MPG yet but it seems fair. You can feel the build quality and as a result it can be chucked about and not sustain too much damage. Advantages: brilliant little turbo charged pocket rocket, great value for money

Good solid, reliable Golf 1.4S

Advantages: Build quality, safety, fuel economy
Disadvantages: Can be expensive to buy

I have owned my Golf 1.4s for just over two years now, and in that time it has been a pleasure to own and to drive. My previous car was an Alfa Romeo 156 so the Golf had a lot to live up to, and while it does not have the aesthetics or style of the Alfa, it is an admirable replacement. Golf 2.5 V5 - You won't be disappointed!
