Advantages Head turner and very rare!!

Disadvantages power - can be a bit slow off the mark

This model of car is a head turning well worth the money purchase.

The model of car doesnt seem cheap when originally purchasing the car ( i paid 10,000 for a 1999 silver model just under a year ago) but these cars hold the money and i will hardly depreciate over the years.

This model of car is rare!! i have hardly ever seen one around where i live especially not a silver one. When i was looking to buy mine i searched high and low for he silver model and it was difficult to get hold of.

The drive and handling of the car is superb and is a big improvement on the ford convertible i had previously. The speed of the car initially can be a bit slow but once it gets going i have no complaints

The interior of the cars are dependent on the model e.g the colour concept models are part leather with the same colour leather as the exterior whereas the lower models such as the se and the s are material in either black/beige. The car is suprisingly spacious inside. The sound system is exceptionally good for a standard system which can be usefull when the roof is down.

The convertible roof is really easy to put down, with the flick of the handles and the pressing of the button the roof can be down in under 5 seconds ready for you to ride about getting plenty of attention for passers by. The amount of people that look at the car is amazing - my friends love it!! The car comes as standard with an alarm and immoboliser.

There is nothing bad to say about the car - the exterior/interior look are fabulous, drive is smooth and the car feels generally sturdy and safe.

I would recommedn this car anyday and i have no regrets at all about buying one

    I so adore my '99 Cabrio, strong, solid, peppy and made with top quality materials and classy design. Shame they discontinued it in '03 to help the Beetle Cabriolet sell more.

    Sounds like you like Convertibles then! Hope the Summers going to be hot this year! The Golf 111 what size engine does it have? and an idea of fuel economy (if you use this daily)?
