HIS CHANGE
from being a young boy he always wanted a fast nice looking car.Which was fine while we only had one child ,you see being 6ft 8 there was not very much room behind the drivers seat ,so when i got pregnant again it was time to look for a family car.
===================
ON THE MARKET
so the challenge was under taken to find a family car nice on the eye plenty off room behind the drivers seat and with that bit of punch for the boy racer still inside him.On looking at a number of cars we found that there wasn`t any thing on the market to suit our needs thats when the sharan caught our eyes.It was ideal plenty of room ,nippy and nice one the eye.
===================
COMPARING
If you didnt know the sharan,galaxy and alambra are all the same car bar a few engine bracket diffrences.Although the sharan is the dearest of the three.The spec was alot better of the three and the reputation was a lot better on the sharan .
==================
THE SHARAN
Althought the sharan is the hight of a small van once you get inside it fells like "normal" family car it was so easy to driver ,like it drove its self.The engine we got was the tdi red i it is the 110 bhp with a 5 speed box and 7 seats.The good thing about the seats in the back is they can be taken out,turned around,slid backwards and forwards and reclined back so even the mother-in law will be comfy.We have ours set up as a six seater to give the room from the doors and also the access to the back without lifting the seat.Although they are easy to remove they do have a bit of weight to them so be carful when removing.When we bought our sharan it had 70000 on the clock we have added a fair few miles to that motorway and town driving it is very economical on the town driving and it is very responsive on take off.The height diffrence is a advantage in the busy traffic of town or motorway driving and the alround glass gives great views of whats around.The heaters is the back are great to keep the kids warm when the people in the front a just right the indipendant heater controls are great.The driver position is just perfect the dials are very clear all the controls are placed just right and the arm rest and power strearing even a baby could turn what else could you ask for.
==============
FAULTS HE HAS HAD
engine bracket broke cost from vw £89.00 +vat
cost from ford £35.00 +vat

egshaust snapped near cat convertor just welded sleeve on £20.00
other than that no problems what so ever
==============
DOWN SIDES
not a lot of boot space but can be over come by removing 1 rear seat for shopping dont forget to tie the bags.
