    Disadvantages Disadvantages Poor rear visibility for short people when parking

    We've had this car for over a year now and it really is flexible enough for everything we want to do. The extra seats fold flat in the boot space and so are always available for unexpected extra people. The three seats in the middle row are all removable to give a large loading space for trips to Ikea, the DIY store or garden centre. However the space created is not level, the area where the seats have been removed is lower than the rest of the boot space, this can be useful for loading sacks of compost etc as they do not need to be lifted so high.     Advantages Advantages Drives well when working, storage and design

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Electronics, too much cabling too close too seats

    I've had this car for over a year now and it really is the car from hell. It has inherent electrical faults that three branches of the dealearship have claimed that they can fix only for it to go wrong again e.g Volkswagen Assistance came to it on Tuesday evening . It rained overnight and by the morning the cooling fan was running and the computer display was wrong again. On Wednesday morning the dealership said they had definitely fixed it and were just waiting for a battery charge to sort the last reported problems out (they were attributed to low voltage) The car never left the garage and ... more

    I have had my Touran since June 2006....... it's been great. It never breaksdown, always starts, I get 55 mpg on our regular trip, which is down country lanes to the nearest biggish town 12 miles away which with the rising cost of fuel that is a good thing, now a gripe... suspension is a little too hard for me now i've got spinal trouble, but other than that a great alrounder

    The car being reviewed here is the 2007 Volkswagen Touran 1.6L S / SE. The VW Touran has been with us since 2003. In my opinion it is more than a "stretched Golf" , it was the first series 7 seat rival to Vauxhall's Zafira, and remains one of the better compact MPV people carriers. A facelift in 2007 freshened up the Touran's looks. There's some chrome around the headlights and smarter cabin materials. Volkswagen I noticed have also added a park assist system as an option, this takes the hassle out of parking by letting the car do the steering.
