I was called up by a friend whose computer had gone down with a virus, and the boot sector had been infected. In hindsight I overreacted, and should have had the conviction to connect their harddrive up to my computer as a non-booting hard drive and reconstruct the bootsector earlier, but instead I tried out V Buster.
