Advantages: Lightweight, long cord, hepa filter. Disadvantages: NONE!
...I returned with the new Dyson and decided to give it a whirl. You would have thought I had never vacuumed my home with the amount of dirt and dust collected. I am absolutely in love with my Dyson, it is well worth every penny! I can do the stairs without lifting the vacuum, and when I do have to lift it is very very lightweight! I would recommend this vacuum to any and every one! I will never own another brand of vacuum. The cord is very long so ...
Advantages: easy to use; not too heavy when going up or down stairs; the noise is bearable, not too bad. Disadvantages: none that I can think of.
...think I have seen a Dyson here in South Africa but the vacuum cleaner I have is an LG upright that looks a lot like the DC25.
I have found the machine to be very effective on all floor surfaces.
It is a bit noisy on the tile floors but it saves time; I need only one item instead of trailing around the house with a vacuum cleaner + broom + dustpan + hand broom.
The newer trend to do away with those messy and dusty bags that need to be emptied constantly ... ...simpler just having to empty the container about once every 2nd week depending on the number of times a week you use it.
I clean the container under the tap after each trip to the bin to empty it. This stops any dust/dirt from clinging to the filter and also avoids any horrid smells while in use.
The built-in attachments are also easy to get to and work very well. ...
Dyson DC07 - Yellow Origin vs Turquoise Allergy models
I bought my DC07 yellow 'Origin' model, 5 and a half years ago and it has NEVER let me down. I am one of those sad people who actually enjoy hoovering and find it extremely satisfying (providing you have a vacuum cleaner that makes a difference!) I usually hoover for a long time (often well over an hour) and leave the Dyson running for all that time; whereas many hoovers would not stand the ... ...this with my original yellow dyson I would have to say I am disappointed overall. Although the suction somehow appears even better than the Origin (proved only by the evidence of extra dust/debris collected AFTER initially using the yellow one, though the carpet already looked immaculate) - this must be the 'Allergy' extra you get with the turquoise model, excellent for hidden dust sufferers. However the brush system of the Allergy is simply not ...

Review of Dyson DC07
Advantages: Powerful, Portable, Looks like a space-gun Disadvantages: Price,. Noise
...would be unfair. No, the Dyson Root 6 should truly be called a handheld vacuum cleaner.
"Why?" I hear you ask... well let me tell you.
Dyson, as anyone that hasn't been living under a rock for the last 10 years will know, shot to fame with their revolutionary "bagless" Hoover(tm). Only you can't call it a Hoover(tm) because that's a trademark too. Bagless technology meant that there was no loss of power as the poor vacuum motor had to suck air ... ...a fair few years before Dyson made the leap from "regular" vacuum cleaners to handheld ones. In fact, they only came on the market last year. I can only guess that it took them this long to perfect the design - or think up the marketing that would allow them to maintain their premium price-tag. Regardless of the cause of this delay, Dyson finally got a handheld to market in the form of the DC16 Root 6 in "Steel & Yellow". Looking more like a hand-gun ...
Advantages: quick and easy great cleaning results Disadvantages: upholstry and stairs left too wet, not right up to edge
I had a smell in my one room I could not pin down. A major clean was required. I looked into hiring a machine for a weekend, but it was going to cost me the best part of £100. I shopped around and purchased this from Costco for £100 + vat I could have got it cheaper, but the return policy from Costco is brilliant and I did not want to wait weeks for delivery. The machine comes in a box and needs some screw driver constuction, but this is basic and ... ...opening the box to geting it working took about 15 minutes. The machine is like a slightly noisy vacuum cleaner, but it did not wake the children, but holding a detailed conversation is not possible. It takes no time to cover a large area even going over twice, although it disappointingly does not go right up to the front edge with the detergent dispensing which is just behind the suck up bar. ( I think I am going to get a garden spray bottle to ...
