Doesn't quite sweep me off my feet. Advantages: Reasonably priced. Disadvantages: Heavy and cumbersome, pick up not wonderful. We have two cats, the little darlings, and around 12 months ago, when our previous cleaner finally gave up the ghost, this machine with the words 'pet lover' caught my eye in Tesco for £59.99. They had a model on display and it looked aesthetically pleasing in white and blue so I picked up a box. Said box was surprisingly small so I had a suspicion that the vacuum was self assembly. When I got home and unpacked it, my fears were well founded. A good cleaner for the price Advantages: Good price, works fairly well Disadvantages: Not very robust ...decided to go for the Electrolux Powerplus Z4411. HOW MUCH DID IT COST? I am afraid that I can't remember how much we paid for it when Dave bought it but it currently retails at £37.99 so it is a t the budget end of the market. SO WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE? It is a compact cylinder model in Sky Blue with a hose and two plastic extension tubes. The Hose fits into the top of the cylinder at the front and the fitting will rotate though 360 degrees which ... ...is up here as the Electrolux just won't pick up all the cat hairs. SAFETY STUFF This vacuum cleaner is only for use on dry floors. Do not try and clean up any spills with it. Do not use to vacuum sharp objects, hot cinders or lit cigarette butts. Poor performer Advantages: Pretty Disadvantages: Doesn't do what it is supposed to - ie clean This is the worst cleaner I have ever owned. At first it was pulling the carpet off the floor and picking up all kinds of muckand I was staggered. My delight lasted a week. The filter constantly clogs with human and pet hair matted in spiral around it and I spend hours brushing the filter or pulling debris from it - hardly hygenic and rather negates the point of having the thing in the first place as I end up with filth everywhere including in my ... Super Sucker!!!! Advantages: Good Suction and Lightweight! Disadvantages: Not really found any, as yet!! ...It is recommended by Electrolux that with each dustbag change, you clean the HEPA filter at the same time. The filter is found at the bottom of the dustbag compartment. To remove the filter, grip and pull it forward out of the vacuum. Shake the filter to remove any dust and put it back into the vacuum before replacing the dustbag. For test purposes, I removed the filter and replaced it. I found this task easy to do. The filter actually looks like ... ...out how much dust this actually collects when I have to change the bag for real. I will keep you posted on this one! It is also recommended by electrolux, that you regularly check the brush roll belt, which is located underneath the vacuum to the left-hand side of the brush roll. Check that it is in good condition, with no cracks or that it has not stretched. Cut away any hair or threads that has wound around the brush roll or belt pulley. --CONCLUSION-- ...
