Miele - Personally I think they are better than Dysons.

Advantages: Last for years, great suction
Disadvantages: Colours vary, not all models have a variety of colours

The Thoroughly Modern Mini-Miele!

Advantages: Small, compact, quiet, powerful suction, well made, easy to use, not bad on dust capacity.
Disadvantages: No longer made - replaced by S4212 - short cord maximises use in medium homes, daft tool clip.
