Loss of suction power, due to a cut-out mechanism that is supposed to kick in when the machine is too warm (supposedly after several months of use before the filter is changed.) It wasn't. Calling them again seemed useless. A rather unpleasant representative warned me that I would be charged if I sent it in and they didn't find the problem. ...burst into flames. The Vax v-060c is not too heavy coming in at 6.3kg and the 2000 watts really does make a difference (compared to my previous 1100 watts). The dust trap bag fits simply onto the back of the motor with a rubber collar and is very easy to fit and remove. It also has the advantage of collapsing down to filled capacity which is very useful for stowing in tight or awkward places. Emptying is simplicity itself.
