...Cleaner I have is the Electrolux Z4431. It is quite funky looking as vacuum cleaners go, It is silver and small and compact. Its easy to store away in the cupboard and looks very neat and tidy.
Now on to the features that make the Electrolux Z4431 such a great little vacuum cleaner:
Variable Power - This is a great feature as there is a dial where you can adjust the suction power of the vacuum cleaner, This is really handy as for things such as ... ...I would recommend the Electrolux Z4431 to anyone requiring a good, reliable, easy to clean and small sized vacuum cleaner for a 4 bedroom or less house. Maybe you will need a bigger vacuum cleaner if you are lucky enough to live in a big massive house. Although bigger houses are harder to clean ;)

Advantages: Well made, very quiet, very powerful, easy and pleasant to use... Disadvantages: Floor head could be better, brush tool poor.
I have owned this vacuum for around 3 months now, and it has proven to be a good product.
Performance-wise, it is very quiet and very powerful. However, the floor head lets this product down; it is too lightweight and on certain carpets it almost skips across the floor when you pull it towards you.
A second negative point concerns the 'brush' tool, which is basically a tiny brush stuck onto the end of the tool used for getting into corners. This ... ...also makes a lot of noise.
However, the main vacuum unit seems to be well made, and the handle and hose are actually better quality compared to a previous miele machine.
The dial used for switching the machine on/off, and for controlling power output is perhaps not suitable for those who have problems bending. At first I thought you would be able to switch the machine on with your foot, but this is not the case.
Concerning bags, they are inexpensive ...

...It is recommended by Electrolux that with each dustbag change, you clean the HEPA filter at the same time. The filter is found at the bottom of the dustbag compartment. To remove the filter, grip and pull it forward out of the vacuum. Shake the filter to remove any dust and put it back into the vacuum before replacing the dustbag. For test purposes, I removed the filter and replaced it. I found this task easy to do. The filter actually looks like ... ...out how much dust this actually collects when I have to change the bag for real. I will keep you posted on this one!
It is also recommended by electrolux, that you regularly check the brush roll belt, which is located underneath the vacuum to the left-hand side of the brush roll. Check that it is in good condition, with no cracks or that it has not stretched. Cut away any hair or threads that has wound around the brush roll or belt pulley.

...decided to go for the Electrolux Powerplus Z4411. HOW MUCH DID IT COST?
I am afraid that I can’t remember how much we paid for it when Dave bought it but it currently retails at £37.99 so it is a t the budget end of the market.
SO WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?
It is a compact cylinder model in Sky Blue with a hose and two plastic extension tubes. The Hose fits into the top of the cylinder at the front and the fitting will rotate though 360 degrees which ... ...around by means of two wheels – one either side at the back end of the machine – and a ball set at the front of the machine making it easy to change direction when cleaning. The wheels and the ball are set underneath the cylinder – obviously!
It has an onboard container set in the lid which houses the combination crevice nozzle/brush and upholstery nozzle.
There are two foot switches, one of which is the on / off switch and the other is the mains ...

Replacement for 15 year old Hoover which was still working but had run out of steam.
Quite impressed at first but seemed to be prone to jam when picking up long fibres. Went through about 4 belts in 15 months ( had similar problems with other uprights. I liked the ease of use and it seemed to retain suction quite well even when the dust container was 3/4 full.
Cleaned rollers on every occasion BUT just jammed again after 15 months and probably ...
