Only you can't call it a Hoover(tm) because that's a trademark too. My mother bought me this little sweeper as she has always been pleased with hers. I have trouble carrying a heavy vacuum up and down stairs so this is really handy for those quick whiz round cleans inbetween struggling with the big vac. this is a rechargeable model, I am not sure how long it takes to reach full charge as i tend to plug it in when I have finished what i am doing and then unplug when I remember. On a full charge it is supposed to clean ... ...so it always managed my hall,lounge,study,dining room and stairs and landing with no problem. The sweeper is not very noisy either, the children don't grumble too much if I am trying to clean and they are watching telly!
