Advantages: quick and easy great cleaning results Disadvantages: upholstry and stairs left too wet, not right up to edge
I had a smell in my one room I could not pin down. A major clean was required. I looked into hiring a machine for a weekend, but it was going to cost me the best part of £100. I shopped around and purchased this from Costco for £100 + vat I could have got it cheaper, but the return policy from Costco is brilliant and I did not want to wait weeks for delivery. The machine comes in a box and needs some screw driver constuction, but this is basic and ... ...opening the box to geting it working took about 15 minutes. The machine is like a slightly noisy vacuum cleaner, but it did not wake the children, but holding a detailed conversation is not possible. It takes no time to cover a large area even going over twice, although it disappointingly does not go right up to the front edge with the detergent dispensing which is just behind the suck up bar. ( I think I am going to get a garden spray bottle to ...

Advantages: great suction, bag last a long time, easy handle Disadvantages: hard to store in tall cupboards
We purchased Henry after our upright Dyson broke down. We had some cleaners in and everytime they left the carpet was SPOTLESS. So my mother asked me if they used a commercial hoover or some type of product and when I told her they used a Henry hoover she was shocked.
A big advantage about the Henry is that having the arm instead of an upright means you can hoover under tables and chairs etc without having to move them and you can get into the tight ... ...we purchased ours around a year ago we bought an extra pack of bags and are yet to have opened them. The bags last for so long its un believable.
The only disadvantage I can thing of is that it is a hastle to put in a tight cupboard because of the arm unlike an upright.
But overall definatly a top quality hoover. ...

Advantages: Cheap, great suction Disadvantages: Feels cheap !
I own at least 4 vacuum cleaners. All of which I have bought to replace the others which are rubbish at vacuuming my one small area of rug in the living room, which accumulate all the dog(1) and cat(2) hairs from the rest of the hard floors in my house.
I was on the verge of spending £160 on a well researched cleaner when this one was offered on my local freecycle group. It was nearly new, had only been bought and used while their stalwart was in ... ...it. What could I lose??!!
In a word nothing, it knocks spots off the plethora of other vacuum cleaners I own. It sucks those damn hairs off the rug with very little effort and even less time. It comes with 2 filters so I can still clean while letting one filter dry after washing. Its light weight, nippy, and the hoses are log enough for a taller than average gal like me not to get too much back ache! I was warned that the hoses have a tendancy to ...

...to the poor design. The hose, where it is connected to the main brush body keeps coming away, creating annoyance.I used to be an avid buyer of Electrolux products including a ff fridge freezer that lasted just over 18 months. My advice to you is to avoid this vacuum cleaner like the plague. ...

Advantages: Very powerful and good value for money. Disadvantages: Some minor assembly and a bit loud.
...just how much dirt the VAX pulled out of my carpets. The suction on this machine is very powerful whether you're using the hose and attachments on the stairs or pushing it along on the carpet. One small drawback is that it is very loud but you soon get used to it. It's a bit heavy so I wouldn't suggest dragging this up more than one staircase in a cleaning session. The dustbin container clips off and back onto the main unit very easily for when you're ... ...can get a bit messy (but what bagless isn't!?) and it's always best to give the filter a good hard banging to get all the dirt off it which again is a bit messy. To use the attachments you have to unhook the hose from the main beater brush part of the machine and slot it into the provided attachments so the dirt goes into the dustbin, which sounds a bit weird at first but is very simple once you figure it out. All in all this is an excellent machine ...
