Advantages: quick and easy great cleaning results Disadvantages: upholstry and stairs left too wet, not right up to edge
I had a smell in my one room I could not pin down. A major clean was required. I looked into hiring a machine for a weekend, but it was going to cost me the best part of £100. I shopped around and purchased this from Costco for £100 + vat I could have got it cheaper, but the return policy from Costco is brilliant and I did not want to wait weeks for delivery. The machine comes in a box and needs some screw driver constuction, but this is basic and ... ...opening the box to geting it working took about 15 minutes. The machine is like a slightly noisy vacuum cleaner, but it did not wake the children, but holding a detailed conversation is not possible. It takes no time to cover a large area even going over twice, although it disappointingly does not go right up to the front edge with the detergent dispensing which is just behind the suck up bar. ( I think I am going to get a garden spray bottle to ...

Advantages: Very light and easy to use. Disadvantages: Not heavy duty, pointless on hard floors.
I got the Bissell Quick Wash after spotting it in Tesco for a measly 70 quid. We have been planning to clean our carpets for some time. Bringing up 3 youngsters I shudder to think what lurks under my Shag Pile.
So an impulse buy really, the idea being that hiring a cleaner wouldn't be very satisfying if that tummy bug comes back or my youngest fails his potty training test.
I was quite impressed by how well it locked together with the minimum of ... ...are there.
The unit comes with a goodly supply of cleaning fluid, four bottles of carpet shampoo and two bottles of hard floor cleaner. This was a bit annoying as I had bought some extra, it doesn’t state they are included on the box.
Although the unit is intended for carpet cleaning primarily it does come with a hard floor attachment to replace the brush that you use on carpets.
Operation is a piece of cake, just lift off the clean water vat, ...

Advantages: no loss of suction, good for pet hair Disadvantages: not the lightest
I bought this vacuum in january this year as my last one stopped working.
i have a labrador who sheds dog hair like you would not believe and on average any vacuum cleaner i buy loses suction anywhere from a week to a couple of months no matter how much you empty it however so far this product still performs as if it just came out of the box.
it comes with a six year guarantee and you can see why as i would be suprised if anyone ever needs to use ... ...a troubleshooting guide which i have only had to use once due to sucking up a glove (yes it is that powerful) it shows step by step how to find blockages so glove removed it carried on as before.
it has two extension tubes and a crevice tool as well as a brush with a removable head and a turbo type tool for stairs etc. It also has various settings for variable carpet piles
it has an adjustable length handle with the power button located on the ...

Advantages: Does its job Disadvantages: Could be sturdier
I bought this as a cheaper alternative to a Dyson and have not been disappointed with the quality of cleaning it provides. It comes with a number of brush attachements, and a choice of settings for cleaning floors ranging from wooden to thick carpets. The tube attachment is my main method of using the product and is easy to use and more than adequate at cleaning the house. The product does however have a tendency to fall over very easily when using ... ...you are moving around the room and after six months of owning the product the plastic piece which holds the extension cord into position when not being used has just snapped off which is a little annoying but not essential. It also has an anti allergen facility in the section where dust and dirt is stored and an attachement for cleaning pet hair. ...

Advantages: One product to vacuum then wash your floor - saving time! Disadvantages: Has a tendancy to fall over when upright and could do with a slightly longer power lead
The Bissell Flip is very good! It is an excellent idea to use one appliance to quickly vacuum the floor then wash it over. I have previously used the Vax hard floor cleaner but this is much better.
Hard floor vacuuming
The vacuum is lightweight and easy to handle. Although it can never compare with my Dyson animal for vacuuming it is suitable for the job of cleaning pet hairs and other bits from a tiled floor. I have found it is best to vacuum ... ...to vacuum one section then wash and then vacuum the next section, as i did, and found that once used wet the vacuum suction tends to get clogged up easily.
Hard floor washing
The containers for both the cleaning product and dirty water tank are well made (no leaks). It operates well with a good brush to get right into the grout and does not over wet the floor. It also has very good suction to pick up the dirty water.
One disadvantage is that the ...
