I decided to buy this model because it sounded like it would work well on tough dirt and stains.It was very easy to put together all there is are 5 screws which go in the back.I found it easy to fill up with water and to take the dirty water off.My carpet is very light and with 2 very small children had got very dirty so I wasn't expecting too much but I was very happy with the results.When washing I found that on tough dirt you need to go over it ... ...am very happy with the results and the only problem I had was that the solution that came with the cleaner ran out when I still had quarter of the room left to go so as long as you buy extra solution you will be fine.The drying was very quick I opened the windows and went out for 2 hours and when I came back it was practically dry. ...

The Vax VO26 came in quite a compact box. The first task on opening the box is actually to assemble the cleaner. Now call me fussy but for an item with "deluxe" emblazoned on the front of it, but I don't necessarily expect to be struggling with a manual, an alun key and bits before I have even started. Flat pack furniture = yes, hoover = poor show; and though it may well save on shipping it doesn't exactly give you a great start with your ... ...to owning one to me Vax was the name I most associated with carpet cleaners, but I wouldn't buy another. If you are thinking of buying one I would look at one in a shop before going ahead and purchasing so you can see the build quality for yourself. Recently picked up our Hetty hoover as the bagless upright hoover we had was too heavy for my wife meaning that the hoovering was only done once a week due to my working hours.

Great product, very quiet and quite lightwight so easy to carry. It gets right into the corners and skirtings easily without having to change attatchments and easily reaches under large items e.g tables, cots unlike upright hoovers. It also has a large button at the back which you push, when you are finished, and it reels the cable back in for you. It leaves my carpets looking almost new again as it has such great suction.
