HAPPY WITH HENRY
Review of Numatic HVR 200 Henry by stevehumph

Advantages: Powerful, low maintenance, Simple
Disadvantages: Can be a bit awkward

I have been the proud owner of a Henry for over two years and in my opinion it is one of the best values for money products I have purchased. It is simple to operate with a large red power button as its only control. It has a large capacity bag and is very simple to empty. The power lead is exceptionally long and winds in and out so you don't have lengths of cable all over the floor. The motor is powerful and suction is extremely good. It picks up ...
...and tiles. I also have no problems using it to clean out our car. To top it all off Henry's smiley face also oozes character. The only slight negative is he is a little bit tall which occasionally means he can topple over if you're not careful. I would have no reservation in recommending Henry. ... Read review

Henry Vacuum cleaners
Review of Numatic NRV200 by ValerieC

Advantages: Light, efficient, quiet and most of all reliable
Disadvantages: None

Some time ago I bought a very old ex-industrial Henry (from a professional cleaning firm) for use at my business premises. Although tatty on the outside, this machine impressed me enough to ensure that I bought a Henry for my domestic use. The Which report on reliability reinforced this decision as it was one of the most reliable cleaners in their tests. Even my husband likes using Henry - although I am a bit worried as he does ay "Come along Henry" ...
...cannot praise these cleaners enough being light to pull around, efficient, quiet (as vacuums go) and do not seem to lose suction even if the very large bag is getting full. Being fairly compact they are easy to store and the smiley face does seem to encourage the friendly feeling that Henry is your friend helping with the chores. The design seems quite simple eg. you wind in the cable with a handle which means there is less to go wrong. I suspect ... Read review

Commercial cleaner - Domestic Price
Review of Numatic HVB200 Henri by joekelly11

Advantages: Build Quality, Suction Power, Price
Disadvantages: None!

I have been the owner of numerous vacum cleaners over the years and when my last one died I settled on a Henry. Why? I saw them at work, I saw them used in shops, I saw my building contractor using one to pick up cement with. So I figured this must be some trade conspiracy, why does every professional tradesperson use a henry. I popped down to homebase and picked one up. Best decision I ever made, forget the bagless Dyson, forget your upgright cleaners ...
...motor, because the filter in the Henry is so large it doesn't suffer the same 'bottleneck' that normal bagged cleaners suffer from, therefore it achieves greater suction without using as much power. In addition, because it is a bagged cleaner it doesn't have the hassle like the Dysons do. The bag holds a whopping 9 litres when full, so you will not find yourself spending too much on those either. The actual physical construction of the cleaner is ... Read review

Dirt Devil DD150SL
Review of Dirt devil by suehome

Advantages: Small portable vacuum ideal for samll spaces and tight stowage
Disadvantages: Fiddle to fit flexible long reach hose

Advantages: Compact, powerful and effective Simple to use and easy to stow, we keep one of these handy little gadgets on the boat. Where electric power is available its so much easier than the traditional dustpan and brush. The brush head rotates as it sucks, driven by a rubber band. It seems primitive but is very effective, even able to draw dust from fairly deep pile carpet and soft furnishings. The black cover on the front is removable to access ...
...fit a flexible suction hose for long reach and crevices etc. We never bother with this, its simply not worth the palaver! The dust trap bag fits simply onto the back of the motor with a rubber collar and is very easy to fit and remove. It also has the advantage of collapsing down to filled capacity which is very useful for stowing in tight or awkward places. Emptying is simplicity itself. You merely remove the dustbag, turn it inside out and shake. ... Read review

Doesn't quite sweep me off my feet.
Review of Electrolux Z 4703 AZ by Gary25

Advantages: Reasonably priced.
Disadvantages: Heavy and cumbersome, pick up not wonderful.

We have two cats, the little darlings, and around 12 months ago, when our previous cleaner finally gave up the ghost, this machine with the words 'pet lover' caught my eye in Tesco for £59.99. They had a model on display and it looked aesthetically pleasing in white and blue so I picked up a box. Said box was surprisingly small so I had a suspicion that the vacuum was self assembly. When I got home and unpacked it, my fears were well founded. Neatly ...
...were, 2 long screws and 5 short screws, A base (the piece in contact with the floor), A dust cup with lid and filter, A long handle, A tool caddy, A rear housing, A hose retainer, A bendy hose, A wand (not magic), A crevice tool, A stair brush, A dusting brush. For older members, it is more fun to read the above as if they were passing by on the conveyor belt on The Generation Game. Sorry, I digress. Let me say at this point, if you ... Read review
