The day I bought the Challenge VC99035 vaccum cleaner must be the day I made my worst buying decision. Not only is this appliance heavy and difficult to store, it is also powerless, presenting no suction whatsoever when being used as vacuum cleaner. I haven't been able to clean my home properly and I am seriously considering buying another one as this one is utherly useless. I have to agree with the other reviewer and strongly advise people NOT TO BUY this. It's a load of rubbish and won't pick up anything at all. Not tiny little grains of litter or even a bit of washing powder on the floor. It's a bit disappointing since there are some very good ideas for attachments, if only they had put the same amount of effort in the suction as they have in desigining the crevice tools. Disadvantages: Fiddle to fit flexible long reach hose

Advantages: Compact, powerful and effective Simple to use and easy to stow, we keep one of these handy little gadgets on the boat. Where electric power is available its so much easier than the traditional dustpan and brush. The brush head rotates as it sucks, driven by a rubber band. ...fit a flexible suction hose for long reach and crevices etc. We never bother with this, its simply not worth the palaver! The dust trap bag fits simply onto the back of the motor with a rubber collar and is very easy to fit and remove. It also has the advantage of collapsing down to filled capacity which is very useful for stowing in tight or awkward places. Emptying is simplicity itself. We have two cats, the little darlings, and around 12 months ago, when our previous cleaner finally gave up the ghost, this machine with the words 'pet lover' caught my eye in Tesco for £59.99. I love this cleaner - i have used it in the car aswell as all around my home + its been great. You don't have to put that much effort in to cleaning - this does it for you.
