A GREAT LITTLE SUCKER Advantages: Suction, ease of use Disadvantages: None I recently damaged my Dyson DC 04. We had it 8 years and I must admit that I hadn't been very gentle with it. It was quite heavy and used to find it quite difficult carrying it up and down the stairs and often banged it against the wall or the banister. A few bits had broken off it, and, to top it all off I dropped it down the stairs. I did manage to get the hose bit working but unfortunately it wouldn't work when it was upright. I finally made my mind up after reading a few reviews, looking at power, suction etc. I was going for a Dyson. Then I had to decide which Dyson I wanted. The 'DC 20,21,22 and 23' versions seemed like a lot of hassle, it looked neat and like it was quite compact and easy to store, but, I'd have to unwind the hose and pull out the tubes every time ... Great compact hoover, excellent suction Advantages: Easy to store, great suction Disadvantages: none When my last Dyson Hoover died on me after 15 years as it has lasted so well I felt that it had to be a Dyson again. They are definitely worth the expense. I chose the Dyson DC23 because we wanted something more compact than the upright Dyson that we had previously. This model is very compact and the hose and wand winds around the base very well and easily. The power cable pulls out of the base and automatically rewinds on the press of a button. ... ...seem to do. The Dyson Hoover sucks up alot of stuff that other Hoovers leave behind. Once you have used a dyson, you will never use anything else. A Dyson Hoover is a good investment. Even though it is expensive, it pays for itself over and over as it last a lot longer than other Hoovers and requires no bags or replacement filters. The filter on this Dyson needs washing occasionally. Miele - Personally I think they are better than Dysons. Advantages: Last for years, great suction Disadvantages: Colours vary, not all models have a variety of colours If you are not into DYSONS then this is in my opinion the next best thing if not even better. The quality of all Mieles are incredible. They last for years (my mum has a very old model from eight years ago, and it still works as well as it did on the first day). DONT BE PUT OFF ABOUT THE BAGS, they are widely avaliable and last for a while, depending on the size of the house and dust on the floors. LG VKC902HTM Advantages: Fantastic suction, compresses dust, turbo tool, handle controls Disadvantages: None An absolutely stunning vacuum I really cant praise it enough. Ive had many many vacuums over the years electrolux, hoover, vax even dyson but this is quite simply without a doubt the best. The suction it produces is incredible but you can also easily adjust the power and even switch on and off from the handle which makes it easy to use. It is the first cylinder vacuum I have had where the floor nozzle has a rotating brush which is excellent for picking ... ...accessories the mini nozzle is just like the floor tool but is particularly handy for doing stairs. It also comes with the usual crevice tool and a upholstery tool which has a retractable brush which is handy. The only possible slight negative I can think of is that there is no on board storage for the tools but thats not a big deal. My hard-working hoover Advantages: reliable, powerful suction, great cable rewind, useful parking system, quiet Disadvantages: expensive ...We decided to buy a Miele cylinder vacuum cleaner because we have two small children who crawl all over the house so a reliable and long lasting vacuum cleaner was needed. My elder son is afraid of the vacuum cleaner's noise but not of this one's noise. It is quiet but sucks everything very well. We replaced a Samsung vacuum cleaner which worked nicely but was too noisy for the kids. There are a lot of good vacuum cleaners on the market, I am sure, ... ...disappointed. There are days when I have to hoover the whole house 2-3 times. Price It was about 200 pounds which is quite a lot, but it was worth every penny. It is easy to handle and sucks well.
