Miele - Personally I think they are better than Dysons.
Advantages: Last for years, great suction Disadvantages: Colours vary, not all models have a variety of colours
If you are not into DYSONS then this is in my opinion the next best thing if not even better. The quality of all Mieles are incredible. They last for years (my mum has a very old model from eight years ago, and it still works as well as it did on the first day). DONT BE PUT OFF ABOUT THE BAGS, they are widely avaliable and last for a while, depending on the size of the house and dust on the floors.
This model has a great amount of power that is ...

Miele S5281: Don't make a Miele of the housework
Advantages: Specialist cleaning, well made and reliable Disadvantages: None
...credit card) my beautiful new Miele vacuum having heard rave reviews about them from friends. I checked the which guide and other review sites and found that they were rated very highly which confirmed my choice of make and that just left the model to choose. I decided on the S5281 as it seemed a good, powerful, all-rounder. Then came the hunt to find the best price or deal, having not spent any money for while since having a baby I thought that ... ...a bit suspicious so emailed Miele customer services to query whether there was a difference. They replied extremely quickly to say that the Argos model would just come with the standard floorhead and not the turbo brush and parquet floorhead - well, I'm not spending nearly £200 for a vacuum and not getting a turbo brush! I reluctantly went with Co-op to buy the vacuum as I have a members card and whilst its not specific about what reward you get ...

My hard-working hoover
Advantages: reliable, powerful suction, great cable rewind, useful parking system, quiet Disadvantages: expensive
...We decided to buy a Miele cylinder vacuum cleaner because we have two small children who crawl all over the house so a reliable and long lasting vacuum cleaner was needed. My elder son is afraid of the vacuum cleaner's noise but not of this one's noise. It is quiet but sucks everything very well. We replaced a Samsung vacuum cleaner which worked nicely but was too noisy for the kids. There are a lot of good vacuum cleaners on the market, I am sure, ... ...disappointed. There are days when I have to hoover the whole house 2-3 times. Price It was about 200 pounds which is quite a lot, but it was worth every penny. It is easy to handle and sucks well. It has very useful features. Features It has Allergotec floorhead. There is a sensor on the floorhead which shows whether your carpet is clean already or not. It is red when there are larger dust pieces on the floor, orange when there are less and smaller ...

Wow, finally we have suction!
Advantages: Suction, suction and oh yes ... suction Disadvantages: Cost
...of suction over time, the miele bags seem better quality than other bags -- if you suck up plaster dust or flour then yes of course the bag will get clogged, according to the manual. Thats fine by us. Even then you just change the bag. There is a very good suction indicator which lets you know when its time to change the bag. A little common sense and time given to read the manual fully is required, like all mechanical items. Having the power controls ...

The super hoover!!!
Advantages: Compact and super powerful with great allergen removal Disadvantages: shortish electrical cord
This is a fantastic hoover. It is small and compact but with the sucking power of no vacuum I have had before. It really is great for carpets and solid floors. Stairs are a doddle with this hoover as it is so lightweight and small. It doesn't really make a huge amount of noise either.
The main vacuum pole extends and shortens with a smoot action to make it easily adjustable for each job.
The power usage is variable from 300 W for curtains up through ... ...a massive 1800 W. There is also an economy setting which is apparently set so that it is economical on the electricity usage.
It has a useful range of tools from the main vacuum head to a thin nozzle for hard to reach places, a brush, and a velvet lined head thingy for curtains and upholstery.
The vacuum is apparently good at getting pet hairs, but as I don't have any pets, it is difficult for me to comment on the effectiveness.
The bags are a ...
