Electroluc Powerlite Z3318
Review of Electrolux Z3318 by aceporty

Advantages: Adjustable power/suction,textile dustbag, retractable power cable, carpets and hard floors.
Disadvantages: No issues found.

If your budget is £40, this model is worth serious consideration. 1800W power makes a big difference from the bargain basement cleaners on the market. Power is adjustable through a slider switch on top of the unit, which means you can use your foot to operate the slider. Suction can also be adjusted by a slider vent on the hose handle. People interested in environmental issues will be pleased to see the cleaner comes with a textile dust bag which ...
...supplied when purchased which means you don't have to buy extra dust bags. A dual purpose nozzle means as well as cleaning carpets, it is suitable for using on hard floors. A foot operated button is used to switch between the two uses. Other tools supplied include a combination nozzle/brush and a crevice nozzle. These can be stored on the rear of the unit. A retractable lead comes as standard. Having used this cleaner for a month I have yet to ... Read review

Miele 5280 with parquet brush
Review of Miele S 5280 by daveaze

Advantages: easy to use,versatile,well made
Disadvantages: none as yet after 4 weeks

...flatter to deceive. This Miele is versatile, quiet and has easy maneuverability around the home. The drawback is dust bags but they last a long time and work well; being easy to change and dispose of. It has settings from curtains to heavy soiled carpets and a choice of filters. Tools are well designed and the smaller ones actually are in a neat compartment in the cleaner. We bought it specifically for our oak wooden floors and the special parquet ... Read review

LG VKC902HTM
Review of LG V-KC902HTM by jordy29

Advantages: Fantastic suction, compresses dust, turbo tool, handle controls
Disadvantages: None

An absolutely stunning vacuum I really cant praise it enough. Ive had many many vacuums over the years electrolux, hoover, vax even dyson but this is quite simply without a doubt the best. The suction it produces is incredible but you can also easily adjust the power and even switch on and off from the handle which makes it easy to use. It is the first cylinder vacuum I have had where the floor nozzle has a rotating brush which is excellent for picking ...
...accessories the mini nozzle is just like the floor tool but is particularly handy for doing stairs. It also comes with the usual crevice tool and a upholstery tool which has a retractable brush which is handy. The only possible slight negative I can think of is that there is no on board storage for the tools but thats not a big deal. I would absolutely 100% recommend this vacuum as I said I believe its better than Dysons so if your after a vacuum ... Read review

The super hoover!!!
Review of Miele S 4210 Yellow by willliz1975

Advantages: Compact and super powerful with great allergen removal
Disadvantages: shortish electrical cord

This is a fantastic hoover. It is small and compact but with the sucking power of no vacuum I have had before. It really is great for carpets and solid floors. Stairs are a doddle with this hoover as it is so lightweight and small. It doesn't really make a huge amount of noise either. The main vacuum pole extends and shortens with a smoot action to make it easily adjustable for each job. The power usage is variable from 300 W for curtains up through ...
...a massive 1800 W. There is also an economy setting which is apparently set so that it is economical on the electricity usage. It has a useful range of tools from the main vacuum head to a thin nozzle for hard to reach places, a brush, and a velvet lined head thingy for curtains and upholstery. The vacuum is apparently good at getting pet hairs, but as I don't have any pets, it is difficult for me to comment on the effectiveness. The bags are a ... Read review

Wow, finally we have suction!
Review of Miele S 5980 by 2cathouse

Advantages: Suction, suction and oh yes ... suction
Disadvantages: Cost

...of suction over time, the miele bags seem better quality than other bags -- if you suck up plaster dust or flour then yes of course the bag will get clogged, according to the manual. Thats fine by us. Even then you just change the bag. There is a very good suction indicator which lets you know when its time to change the bag. A little common sense and time given to read the manual fully is required, like all mechanical items. Having the power controls ... Read review
