A GREAT LITTLE SUCKER

Advantages: Suction, ease of use
Disadvantages: None

I recently damaged my Dyson DC 04. We had it 8 years and I must admit that I hadn't been very gentle with it. It was quite heavy and used to find it quite difficult carrying it up and down the stairs and often banged it against the wall or the banister. A few bits had broken off it, and, to top it all off I dropped it down the stairs. I did manage to get the hose bit working but unfortunately it wouldn't work when it was upright. So, the time had ...
...visited Dyson, I had a Dyson before and I knew that they were good so I looked at their cylinder models. I finally made my mind up after reading a few reviews, looking at power, suction etc. I was going for a Dyson. Then I had to decide which Dyson I wanted. The 'DC 20,21,22 and 23' versions seemed like a lot of hassle, it looked neat and like it was quite compact and easy to store, but, I'd have to unwind the hose and pull out the tubes every time ...

About the Dyson DC25

Advantages: ease of use basically the wayyou can move it anywere without effort
Disadvantages: i could not honestly find any disadvantages about this hoover

...So we came back to Dyson and this model is absolutely BRILLIANT. The design is stunning, the extendable hose is great, it is even easy to empty. And yes, the ball does make it more manoeverable (but I wouldnt buy it just for the ball feature). It is quiet compared to other machines, and the suction is superb. We have only used it for 3 weeks now, but each time I really do marvel at how good it is. However, how robust is it? Not only does this need ...

Dyson - still not quite perfect but getting there...

Advantages: So easy to use
Disadvantages: Still can't combat pet hair

...and are stylish in appearance. Dyson have clearly made improvements and this is proof of that. Would recommend - once you have one of these you would not go back... In comparison to the older model version I used to have this glides over the carpet. It can be used on any floor surface which is great and is not as noisy as my old one. Not entirely sure why they use so much yellow on the design though... ...

Get your kicks from errr... Root 6

Advantages: Powerful, Portable, Looks like a space-gun
Disadvantages: Price,. Noise

...would be unfair. No, the Dyson Root 6 should truly be called a handheld vacuum cleaner. "Why?" I hear you ask... well let me tell you. Dyson, as anyone that hasn't been living under a rock for the last 10 years will know, shot to fame with their revolutionary "bagless" Hoover(tm). Only you can't call it a Hoover(tm) because that's a trademark too. Bagless technology meant that there was no loss of power as the poor vacuum motor had to suck air ...
...a fair few years before Dyson made the leap from "regular" vacuum cleaners to handheld ones. In fact, they only came on the market last year. I can only guess that it took them this long to perfect the design - or think up the marketing that would allow them to maintain their premium price-tag. Regardless of the cause of this delay, Dyson finally got a handheld to market in the form of the DC16 Root 6 in "Steel & Yellow". Looking more like a hand-gun ...

what a sucker!

Advantages: easy to use
Disadvantages: falls over!

...a good spend. This dyson has a ball which is uses to navigate its way round. This makes it much easier to get around the carpets as it can swivel 360 degrees with ease. At first when I plugged it in and had a little test drive with it it felt very strange almost unnatural to be able to have it be so flexible! After about two or three attempts I soon got used to it and now I wouldn't be without it! The ball definitely helps it move its way around ...
...leave them off! This dyson is also very easy to clean. There are two buttons which need to be unscrewed at the bottom and then you can get into the foot of the dyson which, I usually find, is clogged up with big clumps of hair and things so once I clean that out and button it back in place the performance of the dyson is back to it's amazing abilities on day one! Occasionally I find this dyson just stops sucking up things and it really frustrates ...
