This is my second Dyson vacuum, which says a lot in itself! I have owned an alternative "bagless cyclone" vacuum, but found that none compare to the suction power of a Dyson. Having own the original style Dyson some years ago, I had an idea what to expect with the acquisition of the DC 14 when my old hoover's wheels literally came off (wasn't a Dyson by the way).
