Advantages: Versatile, Quite, Good Reachabilty, Good range of Attachments Disadvantages: Bit heavy, Price
I bought my Electrolux Z8240 in a closing down sale at the Co-op for an amazing £104.99. The rrp is £179.99 which is a bit pricy, but please do not let this put you off. Its more than a match for the dyson and it even has some advantages over it.
Okay so first impressions, well after carrying it about a mile from the shop to where I had parked the car, I can say that for its size it is fairly heavy. This is the only down side, beside the the pricetag.
... ...it becomes apparent that the wieght of the item is down the pure solid build of the vacuum. Fear not, it has big soft wheels so maneouverabilty is not a problem. Combine this with the 10 metre power cord and the 3 metre reach from the handle you should be able to reach most of your house from one plug (unless you live in a mansion, in which case you probably have a maid and don't care about vacuum cleaners).
So I put it together and noticed that ...
Advantages: Easy to store, great suction Disadvantages: none
When my last Dyson Hoover died on me after 15 years as it has lasted so well I felt that it had to be a Dyson again. They are definitely worth the expense. I chose the Dyson DC23 because we wanted something more compact than the upright Dyson that we had previously. This model is very compact and the hose and wand winds around the base very well and easily. The power cable pulls out of the base and automatically rewinds on the press of a button. ... ...seem to do. The Dyson Hoover sucks up alot of stuff that other Hoovers leave behind. Once you have used a dyson, you will never use anything else. A Dyson Hoover is a good investment. Even though it is expensive, it pays for itself over and over as it last a lot longer than other Hoovers and requires no bags or replacement filters. The filter on this Dyson needs washing occasionally. In the instructions it recommends every 3 months. ...
Advantages: You cant even use to pull a socks from dead man Disadvantages: It's a disaster!!!!!!
I am a victim of Hinari lifestyle vacuum cleaner, I bought form Argos, The suction is very poor, poor quality plastic body, very bad quality hose and accessories, within 6 month hose start to broke, I contact for spare hose as per Argos guidance, the answer was shocking they say that model is stop production that’s why no more spare parts!!!!! How is that now what I do with that two wheel and one motor I can’t even use to pull a socks from dead man!!!!! ... ...was in middle east I was using Panasonic bag less vacuum cleaner, it was fantastic, unfortunately I didn’t find that same model that’s why I go to this. Somebody says if you buy cheaper you cry everyday, if you buy better product with little expensive you cry one one time. That’s true ...
Advantages: Price; suction; on board tools Disadvantages: Messy to empty contents; noisy
...justify the expense.
The Vax was easy to assemble and worked straight away. It has amazing sucking power. I own 2 large dogs and I have been very impressed at how effectively it picks up their hairs. The range of on board tools is excellent and means it crosses over slightly into the cylinder market in that it makes stair/ furniture/ curtain cleaning relatively easy too.
On the downside, it is very noisy (one of my dog always howls when I use it, ... ...I have also had to replace the filter and belt (after 2 years though). Emptying the contents is also a very messy business!
The turbo tool has now stopped working, so I have decided to treat myself to a new cleaner. I've opted for a Henry Extra, although I have still to receive and try that out! ...

Review of VAX V060
Advantages: Quiet, easy to use, excellent for pet owners and it looks quite nice Disadvantages: Miele's aren't usually cheap
...cleaner, I settled on the Miele TT2000 Cat and Dog cleaner. This is one of the earlier editions from Miele, which now do a range of other vacuums for pet owners. Having already decided to stick with a cylinder cleaner which I find much easier to manoeuvre around than uprights, I chose this model primarily because of it's claim to be aimed specifically at people with pets. The claim is borne out by having a special Turbobrush, and also a 'Super Air ... ...They're available from any Miele stockist and I think they're good value for money. They consist of a fabric outer layer with a plastic inner layer and have plastic slides which are easy to manoeuvre into and out of the cleaner. This means I'm never worried about the bags tearing or all that unwanted pet fur escaping! The good points
It looks good (how superficial am I?); It's compact and doesn't need much storage space; It's lightweight and ...
