good power
Advantages: thorough vacuuming Disadvantages: doesn't put cleaning agents through your carpet
I bought my grandfather a Goblin Aqua Vac 1100w wet and dry "cleaner", and I use it every day. Although this vac will not CLEAN your carpet it can be used to vacuum up spills and unblock drains etc if you remove the paper filter inside. I have used it on spills and picking up foam cleaner from the carpet, and it works fine.
I have been told that these filters do not need changing for years, so that is good news for keeping down the upkeep! There ... ...I bought this model in Argos and was amazed that there was more than £10 off the catalogue price, even though it wasn't promoted. I think this is because the manufacturers have changed the whole look of the machine, and were wanting to get all the older ones sold! Good news for me then.
The previous vacuum was extrememly noisy, and I was even known to wear cotton wool in my ears when using it! But the AquaVac is a lower kind of noise that I can ...

Little Green Goblin bites the dust
Advantages: Small, zippy, moderately priced, long shelf life Disadvantages: Bits break off
...going to write about a Goblin vacuum cleaner model which is not precisely the same model as this one listed, and you can rate me off if you want, but why don't you hear me out first?
Goblin is a well known line of hoovers, and they produce little ones that are useful for zipping around flats or appartments. I bought mine in 1995, and it has only just packed up. As far as I can tell, the specifications are very similar, ie. it was 1500 w (about the ... ...suction/strength rating), automatic cord rewind, and not bagless.
~~ Description ~~
It was small and dark green, and came from Argos, with a selection of accessories, some of which I never learnt how to use. If and when I buy another, I will definitely check out consumer research magazines such as Which? beforehand. The market is so wide now, and there is such a lot of choice between upright, Dyson, bagless, etc, and the price range so fantastic ...

Why I recommend the Goblin 70303
Advantages: Has a first class turbo head brush that picks up pet hairs Disadvantages: Uses paper dust bags
If you are looking for a good quality vaccum cleaner at a reasonable price that is capable of picking up pet hairs.,then I think this is the vaccum cleaner for you. It comes with a turbo brush head which is first rate as well as the more typical head you would expect with a cylinder vac and other nozzles such as an upholstery nozzle and a crevice tool. I found the turbo head excellent and once i have vaccumed you would not know my ginger persian ... ...hair remain. For any fibres that get trapped in the turbo brush head they can in the main be removed by pulling or cutting them. However for a more through clean of the turbo head it would be necessary to remove the head using a screwdriver.
Since I bought the vaccum several of my friends have asked me how I managed to get rid of the pet hairs and have decided to buy it for themselves. What I also liked was that the telescopic tube is at a good ...

Cordless Vac surprisingly good!
Advantages: ease of use, very manoeuvrable Disadvantages: not too powerful
got delivery of this 2 weeks ago, was a bit dubious at first, never been too keen on the power of cordless tools, so was pleasantly surprised when i first used it! full charge took just over an hour, and lasted nearly 50 minutes of constant use. pick up was great on hard floors, and on par with my regular Dyson on carpeted floors. the waste bin was large enough to hold a weeks worth of daily cleaning. also, was easy assemble, came in 3 easy to click ...

Goblin up the Dirt?
Advantages: Small, light-weight, easy to store. Disadvantages: Not amazing suction capability, especially on hair!
...depiction of the gorgeous green Goblin in the picture, mine is actually a peculiar purple! Well, a peculiar but powerful 1,400 W 'vari-power' purple Goblin! The Topo Goblin is a cheap and compact vacuum cleaner retailing at under £30, with foot operated cord rewind and power setting buttons. It comes with various attachments, one narrow nozzle head for getting in-between sofa cushions and skirting-boards, one brush for dusting and upholstery and ... ...vacuum away?). Does the Goblin gobble up your carpet conundrums? Well, whilst the Topo is a great price and easily stores away into the tiniest of cupboards, I'm not sure about its suction power. If you're the kind of person who vacuums daily, just looking for something to pick up the odd bit of dirt, then this is perfect for you. But, if like me, you're lazy and hate vacuuming, you might let dirt build up for a week or two before deploying ...
