Advantages: very lightweight, long battery charge, relatively ample capacity, quick and easy maintenance
Disadvantages: filter clogs quickly reducing power, filter needs cleaning each use, won't pick up heavier particles, rotating brush accumulates hair and fuzz quikly and is difficult to clean

...Perhaps the engineers at hoover could perfect the maintenance side of it., but I sat down a good while trying to figure out how to improve it and came up with nothing. The HEPA filter is perhaps too efficient, it clogs quicky, on the other hand if some of those particles went through the filter I'd have to do more dusting so I'm getting used to it. ... Read review

I purchased a Vax Sahara (£219.00) because its supposed to clean hard floors. I have a big kitchen and needed something easy to use to clean my hard floor. I thought the Vax Sahara was the floor cleaner for me, and boy was I wrong. The first few times were okay it cleaned my floor but only the same as a normal mop would clean it so I was not impressed. When the blade at the bottom of the Sahara was dirty I found it hard to take off and even harder ...

Advantages: Lightweight & convenient
Disadvantages: Limited uses

This cleaner would not be suitable as your main vacuum cleaner even if you live in a very small flat, but it is useful for quick clean up jobs that would be too much trouble for a larger machine. It's rechargable so you aren't limited by a power cord and in use I found the Freejet cleaned for over 10 minutes before losing power, more than enough for most quick jobs.
