I love this cleaner Advantages: Fairly lightweight, fantastic suction, easy emptying, good looking. Disadvantages: Actually, I can't think of any. My first Marathon was bought purely because it was cheap from one of the TV shopping channels, unfortunately we had a flood and it drowned! I was distraught. I eventually managed to buy another one from a factory shop but was looking online and would gladly have paid list price after being so pleased with the original one. It comes with all the attachments you could want for all sorts of uses. I love the turbo head which cleans carpets like a dream. ... ...the fantastic suction on this vacuum cleaner gets the hairs out of the carpet with little effort on my part. I have tried other machines with the same wattage but they haven't had the suction that this one has. It is easy to see when the clear perspex container needs emptying and it is very simple to do so. A brush is provided to clean the filter and I take the time to do this each time I empty it. I had my previous one for over a year and never ... Vax Mach 5 Pet is perfect for pet owners, especially dog owners. Advantages: Picks up pet hairs easily and various attachments easily stored Disadvantages: Rather heavy for lifting up stairs I got the Vax Mach 5 Pet about 2 weeks ago and was surprised at how much smaller it is than it looks from either the picture on the vax website or size of the box. It is not a small cleaner, but neither is it the large one I was expecting. It is fairly easy to assemble, but you do need a philips screwdriver for the 3 screws attaching the main unit to the base. The instructions were great, plenty of pictures and easy to understand, unlike some others ... ...Once asembled I found it to be fantastic at picking up all the dirt, especially the dirt I didn't even know was there. It also glides smoothly on my wood floors, easily picking up anything it finds. I did not find it as heavy as I expected from reading other reviews, but it is not light, so not great for carrying up lots of stairs. The cord rewind is great and the various attachments are good for getting into corners and around the back of things ... He Sucks Advantages: suction is great Disadvantages: price The other day my hoover packed up whilst I was doing the stairs, being only half way down I had to run next door and borrow my neighbours hoover. This happened to be a Henry Cylinder Vacumn Cleaner HVR200, this little chappie has a cute face on the front and is a nice red colour. It is 1100 watts and has stainless steel tubes with black plastic flexipipes for easy cleaning. Doing the housework isn't one of my favorite things but it has to be done ... ...but having been rescued by the neigbours I thought I'd test this little Henry as my Moulinex Boss which had just packed up was great at getting into all the small places and the suction on it was brilliant. I did wonder if this little henry was good enough for the job. Henry was quite light to carry up the stairs, my little boss wasn't heavy either so in this respect there wasn't any difference. Absolute rubbish!!!!!!!!!! Advantages: Long lead Disadvantages: Everything accept a long power lead This item was purchased because it emphasised that it delt with pet hairs. Well it dosn,t .! All this appliance do,s is re-arrange the hairs that were not really noticable, into Tram lines ! Trying to be unbiased we swapped cleaners with friends who had no pets, no kids,and never wore outdoor shoes in the house!( I know thats a dull life but they,re still friends) Their verdict was that the appliance was "shite" and could they have their Eubank ... ...into tram lines! The product is total rubbish and not fit for purpose as advertised You would think that a Global company who are supposed to have a engineering background would come up with a far superior product than this.
