Advantages: Last for years, great suction Disadvantages: Colours vary, not all models have a variety of colours
If you are not into DYSONS then this is in my opinion the next best thing if not even better. The quality of all Mieles are incredible. They last for years (my mum has a very old model from eight years ago, and it still works as well as it did on the first day). DONT BE PUT OFF ABOUT THE BAGS, they are widely avaliable and last for a while, depending on the size of the house and dust on the floors.

Advantages: Excellent at picking up long human hair Disadvantages: Expensive replacement parts
I've had my Miele cat and dog vacuum for almost 4 years and it has consistently outperformed all other vacuum clearners I've ever had.
I almost didn't buy it because the sales person said that it's only suitable for pets with short hair - so I was worried that long human hair would cause problems. There was no need for my concern though, it's been wonderful at picking up long hairs (I've had to resort to using the nozzle to pick them up with most ... ...After almost 4 years the Miele cat and dog vacuum has suffered its' first problem - the vacuum head stopped going round (possibly due to long hair getting tangled in it). I'll admit that the £70 ish replacement wasn't cheap but on balance I'd prefer to get a new vacuum head every 4 years than to waste hours struggling to vacuum up long hair.
I can't remember exactly what I paid for the machine itself - somewhere around £350 (from John Lewis). ...

Review of Miele S 380 cleaner
This is a bagged vacuum cleaner from the manufacturer, Miele. The Ciao photograph shows the product in red however my own is 'Bahama Blue'. I purchased mine to replace a cylinder style cleaner that I use for my static caravan.

The vacuum cleaner is a fairly basic model, it does not come with many attachments, i.e. No pet hair brush, or fragrance pocket for those little air fresheners. The cleaner is ... ...paid from amazon.
The Miele S 380 has a variable power function sited on the handle to regulate the suction level. This is basically a sliding opening. The overall structure is robust, with two interconnecting stainless steel tubes and a flexible plastic hose. The brushes are sturdy, the product is easy to set up and very well made. I absolutley love my miele cat & dog. Vacuuming is now a pleasure, dare I say fun (sad arent I!) . After several years of putting up with cr*p machines, (one of which was a rather expensive one) ,which blew up, blocked up and messed up I did some careful research and read several reviews on the internet and came across the Miele cat and dog. I have one hairy Labrador X and 5 kids and my vacuums just couldnt cope with us, I was getting through one ... ...of the best buys I have ever made, it is certainly the best vacuum I have ever bought.
