...Its a real shame. Vax replaced mine [excellent customer service!] but sent annother with the same fault. Tip! if you have this problem cut a thin strip of that bubbly 'non slip mat' and evo-stick it to the edge of the filter seal, then after 12 hours to dry really well rub talc round the seal and it will then fit snugly and your vax will work well. ... Advantages: Picks pet hair up well at first
Disadvantages: heavy and bulky, lost its first brilliance

Well when I bought this one we had two dogs, one longhaired. When used at first it was fantastic and I thought 'Great' I've found one that does what it says on the tin!. However a few months down the line it worked properly less and less, missing hairs, soon getting bunged up etc. Even when taken apart and cleaned properly with new filters I never got that 'first' good feeling.
