An Animal for my Animals!
Review of Dyson DC 08 Origin by honey000

Advantages: Compact, effective, cheap!
Disadvantages: Stops working if overfilled

...and found at 247appliances.com a Dyson animal for a staggeringly low £135! Much cheaper than the deals on Ciao! (top tip do a search on Kelkoo - Dysons are much cheaper now than they were!) I ordered the Dyson and it arrived at 7.30 in the morning. Now as it happened this was the day after the cleaner had been but kindly Rocky had brought in a robin so there were feathers everywhere! So I tested the Dyson - it was brilliant - minimal effort and ...
...wood floors and laminates! If you take the head off you can also use it on furniture, It is compact and very easy to store - fits under our stairs! It is also light and easy to move around and it comes with a normal head and a mini head. One word of warning - make sure that you empty it frequently - preferably don't let it get more than half full - it stops it working so well. I am happy, my cleaner is happy and the cats are happy and we have ... Read review

Great little vac !
Review of Electrolux Z 7292 Cyclonic by macaroni_me

Advantages: Cheap, great suction
Disadvantages: Feels cheap !

I own at least 4 vacuum cleaners. All of which I have bought to replace the others which are rubbish at vacuuming my one small area of rug in the living room, which accumulate all the dog(1) and cat(2) hairs from the rest of the hard floors in my house. I was on the verge of spending £160 on a well researched cleaner when this one was offered on my local freecycle group. It was nearly new, had only been bought and used while their stalwart was in ...
...it. What could I lose??!! In a word nothing, it knocks spots off the plethora of other vacuum cleaners I own. It sucks those damn hairs off the rug with very little effort and even less time. It comes with 2 filters so I can still clean while letting one filter dry after washing. Its light weight, nippy, and the hoses are log enough for a taller than average gal like me not to get too much back ache! I was warned that the hoses have a tendancy to ... Read review

Avoid and do not buy
Review of Russell Hobbs 13759 Cyclonic Cylinder by sfc282d

Advantages: looks nice, lightweight
Disadvantages: does not suck

The most useless cleaner ever ! Don't waste your money - exactly as other users have found this is completely hopeless, the filter gets clogged within minutes of using - I would not even give it away - going to get a dyson as at least they do what they are meant to do - doubt I can get a refund now from Robert Dyas as have used it for a few weeks hoping it will improve or I would find out what I was doing wrong but sadly I just got more and more ... The Vacuum that refuses to clean
Review of Kenwood VC 6200 by David515

Advantages: It's shiny and Red
Disadvantages: As much use as a Chocolate Tea pot

This Kenwood vacuum looks splendid, is relatively high powered and is bagless which of course means more suck. Apart from the fact that it can't stay on its wheels it only has one real design flaw. It doesn't really get on with dust. The filters block, the suction is lost and the finer particles of dust simply fly out of the back. I have persevered with this machine. After spending the last hour dragging the thing around the upstairs of my home, ...
...up for the lack of suction, I turned the thing off and good portion of what I sucked up, spilled out. Frustrated? Annoyed? No more like bemused. Kenwood have a good reputation, I have a vacuum that sucks really well as long as I don't want it to clean! ... Read review

Diamond review   Kicking up a storm.
Review of Morphy Richards 70313 by Amazingwoo

Advantages: Compact. Powerful. Quiet.
Disadvantages: Pricey if you don't shop around.

...found the following info…… Morphy Richards Storm Pets Cylinder 70313. • Turbo head • HEPA filtration • 1800 Watts • Foot controls (on/off & cord rewind) • 3.8 litre dustbag • 6m cord • Stainless steel telescopic tubes www.argos.co.uk item number 406/0503. £74.99 (the old model was red, it's now in a yucky blue). www.robertdyas.co.uk £49.99 I emailed the Boyf…….. and he emailed back saying he'd found one ...
...I have since visited the Morphy Richards website and printed off a 12 page guide for my particular model). ~ The Hoover ~ By now you're probably gagging in anticipation of what I bought so here are the details. The vacuum itself is a rather fetching rich dark red with silver accents although if you pop along to Argos now you'll see it's now in a garish shade of blue and it weighs in at 5.1kg which in English money is a smidge over 11lb. It has ... Read review
