Perfect for the car or stairs Advantages: Easy to reach nooks and crannies Disadvantages: Battery life not that long Received my nice compact Dyson Box on Monday and unpacked it as soon as I walked through the door. Now I must point out that prior to last year I was a complete Dyson-Phobe who did not/could not accept that Dyson made good hoovers. All of that changed when I brought the Hard Floors ball version and have magically realised I was wasting my time with all other brands and was a total Dyson convert. It is a 1,2,3 step type of product that even the most technologically frightened people can get along with. Take it out of box, plug into the wall to charge and 3 hours later, bingo. hard working family vacuum Advantages: easy storage, good suction, long lead Disadvantages: expensive to buy Henry well all I can say is he is treated like part of the family he is trust worthy and reliable and he helps me look after the children brilliantly. I have had countless vacuumes that have ended blowing up in smoke or just not sucking up the bits out of my carpet. Having 3 children running around with cake, buscuits and any other consumable component that crumbles when you bite into it is a challenge to keep the flat in a clean and orderly manner, ... ...youngest of my children will be picking it up and trying to eat it. Then came along henry the suction is excellent and the added bonus is that I can plug it into the one room and the lead will stretch out to every room in my flat. My children can also work henry and do a very good job of cleaning up after themselves. The bags for the henry are big so it takes a while before you have to change them which is cost effective. GtechSwo2 for Cleaning thats less of a chore! Advantages: Lightweight, rechargeable and easy to empty. Disadvantages: Battery life of a couple of years seems a bit poor. My mother bought me this little sweeper as she has always been pleased with hers. I have trouble carrying a heavy vacuum up and down stairs so this is really handy for those quick whiz round cleans inbetween struggling with the big vac. this is a rechargeable model, I am not sure how long it takes to reach full charge as i tend to plug it in when I have finished what i am doing and then unplug when I remember. On a full charge it is supposed to clean ... ...so it always managed my hall,lounge,study,dining room and stairs and landing with no problem. The sweeper is not very noisy either, the children don't grumble too much if I am trying to clean and they are watching telly! The sweeper is exceptionally light and so very easy to manouevre. Not a great alternative to the trusty hoover! Advantages: light, swivel easy Disadvantages: don't really work all that well! I was bought this when I first moved into my new home and I guess it came in useful but it didn't work as well as it's meant to and I didn't wait long before saving up to buy a decent dyson instead!! This swivel sweeper is meant to be a cheap alternative to a hoover. It has rotating brushes which suck up the dust and dirt from your floor and then you just have to empty it straight into the bin. It is really light, nothing like a hoover! So it was ... ...heavy to carry up the stairs which is always a bonus I guess. It's meant to work on all floor types- carpets or laminate... however I did find it really quite hopeless when on carpet, I had to run over the same patch about ten times before it would pick everything up and i had to press down pretty hard so it took ten times as long as it would with a hoover!
