This is a light and compact unit. Not very good at large areas, as the fresh water and solution dispenser contains only a very small amount of liquid. Obviously this unit is designed for spills. Not for any major clean ups. The brushes can be easily slowed if pressure is applied to the unit, for brush/scrubbed use, no more than the weight of the unit itself is suitable, trying to add pressure to get the scrubber action to scrub better just makes the unit struggle, and sound labouring in motor noise. ...Not only was the Kenwood unstable (it kept falling over instead of following along behind) but the filters blocked up within minutes of use. I followed the manufactures guidelines and frequently cleaned the filters but I was cleaning the filters two or more times for every room I cleaned! Advantages: Extremely efficient for all surfaces
Disadvantages: Possibly a little heavy to carry upstairs

I have had my Sebo X4 for 9months now & it has had regular use. I have in the past had many different vacs including Dyson & I have to say that this is the best ever. It is easy to use, tools are handy with quick transition to using the extension. Suction is powerful & adapts easily to different surfaces. My home has a variety of surfaces, shaggy style carpet, ceramic tiles & both short tufted & woven carpets and this cleaner copes with all surfaces ... Read review

I guess having a dyson cleaner is been on my wish list for more than a few years now. I've got a Dyson the moment I bought a house. Dyson cleaners are always recommended highly by my friends as they last for a very long time and it is worth the money you are paying for.
