I honestly never thought I needed a water filter in my life, let alone that I'd grow to find it indispensible but in the case of my Brita Fjord Cool filter jug, that's exactly what's happened. Smell:
Stingy on the nasal passages as is a sparkling drink, and i should have known better than to sniff my beverage! Aside from the pain and watering eyes, the aroma is quite plasticy and smells of a false bitter berry aroma.
Appearance:
Hard to see as in a white plastic covered bottle. However upon peeling the bottle plastic cover off. And yes I am aware of what the peeling off of the label means as regards my sexual frustration for all those psychologists out there. However this is purely so i can analyse the colour of the drink for you.
Its a watery and weak red - pinky colour with fizzy bubbles through it.
Taste:
It's a very fizzy drink and even with the first sip you can feel your stomach fill up with carbon dioxide gas. Perhaps this is why it is a shapers product. The idea might be that you feel all full up ...
I am a student at a 6th form and i had to read Regeneration as part of my A2 english literature course. War literature is something i have never read or ever really been interested in but Pat Barker's book blew me away.
The mixture of fact and fiction in the book works perfectly. Barker uses real people and created a realistic story around them and has created characters to help bring out other sides to them.
Prior is my favorite character in the book as we see as one of the fictional characters he is very important. Barker says in a interview that he was 'designed to irritate Rivers' and that is exactly what he does because he is a cocky, working class officer who almost flirts with Rivers to show off his bi-sexuality.
There are many important themes explored in the book, one of which is women in the war ...
